Coming back and looking for new server

I played for a few months when the game first came out but got bogged down with work stuff so I didn't renew my sub. I'm looking for one of the newest servers to start fresh with new players. I'm pretty much playing solo at the moment, looking to play a SCH/SMN so a FC recommendation would be cool as well.

You could check out the section on servers and all the big FCs that are recruiting there. Unless you are looking for something smaller, in which case I recommend just selecting a server appropriate to the time zone you play most frequently at and meeting people via the party finder.

The newest servers would be those added after they expanded the servers back in early September. Those 3 servers are Famfrit, Pandemonium, and Lich.

Those servers will have the newest players, but I am not certain about the population or the community. At the last census in October, those servers had some of the lowest populations.

I know some of the servers have linkshells and FCs that are friendly to new and low-level players. You may consider looking in the server section, or because of the posting restrictions, ask one of us to post a "looking for fc" thread for you on those forums. I myself run a lowbie-friendly linkshell on Leviathan. And I know there are a couple on Gilgamesh and Exodus as well, although there may be more. Find what method best suits you. Just be aware it may take some time to get noticed by a FC or LS.

We're already on the same server in case you'd opt to stay. I'll take you in, if you're interested in a casual FC (SERENITY). We always like new faces - be it casual or not. I've brought in a few new players myself. I always ask, rather than send out blind invites. If/when you get interested in endgame content, we have a linkshell and vchat to organize that stuff. Hit me up sometime after 4PM PST, if you want.

I keep reading that people say Famfrit has a low population, but coming from an active player on famfrit I never have any trouble finding groups and I have never felt like it was in anyway underpopulated. well except in uldah at 2am but then again, who goes to uldah anyway, right?
