I haven't seen Nael return, and Nero ran way at the end never to die at all. What are you talking about?

It's called Amdapor Ruins, so it can be another dungeon.

You must have skipped that cutscene,

because it is very clear that Nero escapes after you defeat him in the Praetorium.
Gaius on the other hand, there's some pretty interesting theories in another thread about the Eorzea/FFXIV Lore.

never see him run away after defeating him in Praetorium. So its apply'd that he was defeated. They changed it in 2.1, like they can alwas change it those zones I mentioned to return in future patches.

Yeah he skipped it lol, but where I come from, running away while very much alive = not dead. Also recalling the Coil CS with Darnus, that doesn't mean "anything is possible", maybe I just expect more from SE..well, Yoshi, to be more creative than contradict the storyline. Garlean's major operations in Eorzea as of now was hit by us (adventurers) and the City-States, you blew up one Castrum essentially, the others got wiped out in order for us to assault Castrum Merd and Praetorium - The other Castrum you blew up.

Yeah by bad. Its been awhile and only watched it once. Just re watched it. dont really see him walk away tho. Just disapears in the next frame of the cutscene.
