"Thy life is a river to bear rapture and sorrow
To listen to suffer to entrust until tomorrow
In one fleeting moment, from the land doth life flow
Yet in one fleeting moment for the new leaf doth grow"
I never played 1.0, so please forgive my ignorance in this respect: In a lot of the overworld maps there looks like there are pieces of the map that just went unfinished, but you can still see faint outlining of areas that are unexplorable. Almost as if they are underground or something. Are these parts of the map that just haven't been added into ARR yet, or are they pathways that lead underground for future content?
If we fight Ifrit, Titan or Garuda again I am going to lose it
Ifrit, Titan, and Garuda Nightmare Mode coming in 2.2. Please look forward to it.
Edit: But seriously, I've noticed quite a few spots on the world map myself that look like they could be expanded. Wouldn't it be interesting if they did something like made discoverable landmarks and an Explorer's Log that gave you Gil and Company Seals for discovering them, with a quick write-up of lore on them as well? People like me, who love finding out the backstory of games, would be all over that, trust me.

If you walk through the Sylph lands, you can see the road that leads to Ala Mhigo, so I can imagine one day we will a quest series where we take back it from Garlean control. Also the NPCs in Camp Tranquil reference the Ruins of Amdapor in passing as being a place full of treasure guarded by demons...it will definitely be an instanced dungeon at some point.
Icewall in western most Coerthas - I know it's currently impossible for anyone to breach it, but maybe someday.
The mine the guys are working at west of Fallgourd - This is likely just a place of interest but I wouldn't mind seeing it open up one day.
The invisible city in eastern Than - Would love the chance to dive into this area.
The floating city in outer La Nosc - Again, would love to get amongst that.
The list is vast and you can point out probably hundreds of places that could be opened up, but that's sorta the point for an MMO really... Never run out of content =P
dont think we need anymore dungeons. Mainly because theres too much gear between i55~65. By the time u got all the drops u need for i55 gear you already have enough phil for all your darklight gear.
Would like to see something new in terms of dungeon rewards.
Well each major update will add higher ilevel required contents for both Main story quest and normal stuff.
By 2.3 we can expect the Leviathan battle to require a player to have between ilvl 55 - 60 just to enter and by 2.4 the next story required Primal/Boss fight may go up to ilvl 61 - 65 for minimum requirement.
Each major update is increase the ilevel for Normal content like the Main storyline and Endgame as well.
By 2.5 ilevel 70 will no long be deemed starter level gear but normal content level gear due to introduction to content in the ilvl 65+ zones and Coil heading into the ilvl 100 or higher gears and CT having ilvl 90 or higher gears.
So it will not be too long before ilvl 65 and higher dungeon gears will be introduced with higher ilevel required dungeons.

Yeah, that place. The one with all the revenants.
There's a tomb or something up in the North Shroud near all the Dulahans too, isn't there?
24-man duty against all 3 coming next patch.
Please look forward to it and all that jazz.
the only problem with having new dungeons is that the older ones become unused. True, as I am also quite sick of the current three primals, reusing content is a little frowned upon. However, if events caused you to go back into some of the older dungeons to open a new wing or area that wasn't available before with a new set of bosses would that be so bad? I personally don't mind hard mode...but extreme mode really just feels like "omg we must give them more stuff to do."
I would think that the arrival of a new primal, say leviathan, would cause power shifts in the beastmen tribes and cause surrounding areas to be affected...sadly all of this thread is very hypothetical even if we can clearly see how areas can be used for future dungeons and story arcs. Just look at world of "not to be spoken of ever on this forum" and how there were zones from vanilla that had no purpose until several expansions later.
