No, they have not changed that in 2.1.

Felis catus
Yeah by bad. Its been awhile and only watched it once. Just re watched it. dont really see him walk away tho. Just disapears in the next frame of the cutscene.
Well what happens to Nero is in the CT storyline.
The next chapter of Cid vs Nero continues in CT storyline. I'm so excited about CT story that I'm mad we have to wait until 2.3 just to get the next part of the storyline and to see what happens to Nero.
After all...
Nero is after something on top of Crystal Tower that is similar to Ultima Weapon but far more powerful. Not to mention CT is actually a storage for Allagan technology and someone who has already entered CT before Nero and Cid reactivated the CT defense systems.
hint and Note:
Xande, in FF14 lore, is a former Allagan Emperor in FF14 compared to his FF3 counterpart being a powerful wizard.

No one activated the CT defence system, it was already activated because the tower is made to be self sufficient, when it emerged from the ground it was reactivated, no one could enter the Tower because the 8 sentinels would have instantly killed anyone that would try to approach the labyrinth

We have also this old 2.0 artwork about a Ixali dungeon
I'm sure this is not ingame yet.

There's a closed up area in Coerthas with Ixali guarding the gate, I hope it's the entrance to that dungeon because the location is pretty close to the one in this early 2.0 concept art and most of the stuff in the pic matches too.

Comparing the current Coerthas map with the 1.0 version map, that gate should lead through to Griffin's Crossing (the rather spectacular bridge over the gorge) and the Coerthas Southern Lowlands, which in 1.0 zoned into the North Shroud (it also had a hamlet called Owl's Nest - the place where the dummied out class Shepherd had it's locked Guildhall). So it's likely that gate will likewise lead there when that zone is finally added.

here you can compare the central highlands from ARR with the central highlands from 1.0
Also a glacier is now blocking the street to the western highlands. Maybe we need to defeat Shiva to get behind it.

I miss having multiple zones like this for some of the areas, wester, easter, lower, upper, ect.
