Why is the Allagan weapon less shiny than the relic/Primal weapons?

I feel Allagan weapons are outshined (literally looks like dog poop) next to a primal weapon or other weapons that any casual can get. Why does the Dual Haken look more threatening than the Allagan axe? Same issue with Break Blade vs. the Allagan blade. Shouldn't it be the other way around? I feel this is a business move to please the majority of people.

Hopefully they move away from glow weapons and instead, start making them more interesting instead of stat +5-10+ and additional stat+5-10+ - That'd be much better.

Another objective post with an op acting like his opinion is factually true. I rather like the look of the Allagan weapons personally. Lets also try to remember for a second that the Allagan weapons are 1500 years old, and the other weapons as far as I can tell are rather new. The "shiny" wore off over a thousand years ago.

Like it or not, "hard core" in this game is like a "pro" in little league. This game is casual- so high end here really doesn't mean anything. I anticipate any real hard core gamers either have moved on or will move on soon.
