I only noticed this occur once since it's awkward to replicate since the problem occurred in pvp.

What happened was that when with a group fighting some other people who had a black mage, my pet was slept so I cast leeches on it and then cast rouse on it and then I was slept. It was at that point that I noticed my pet was slept once again while it had the rouse buff on it.

So it seems like either the tooltip is off or sleep is just getting applied regardless of immunity effect. Or maybe sleep is just supposed to act differently in pvp and I hadn't read anything about it.
