    I want to swim

You see, Limsa and Costa del Sol has great water scenery but it's a shame that we can't actually swim. The most we can do with our swimsuit is to only sit in water and pretend that our characters are enjoying it.

Furthermore, I really would like to see water dungeons (like Kedge Keep from the good old Everquest) where we must keep an eye on oxygen level while battling through it.

I wander if not being able to swim is due to PS3 hardware constraint, or is it just too much trouble?

Oh my, this is actually amusing.

I can't help but dream of a partnership with SEGA to bring Labyrinth Zone, sound effects and all, with Robotnik as the final boss.

Sounds like it would make about as much sense as ARR, it fits.

    Anyway...OP...*rubs eyes*

Considering Leviathan is coming soon...I wonder if swimming will have anything to do with the fight.

most likely the latter since they would have to make swimming animations then the effects of swimming on gear increase the distance of land uyou can cover new enemies you can attack also what kind of attacks can you do how it would be effected new animations for each attack effects once your out of water making new models to place under water the ability to move in a 3d space with all 3 dimensions instead of left/right and forward/back not to mention the new fates they would have to program the changes to fishing jobs because of the swimming area's how deep different races would have to go before they are classed as swimming swimming specific gear quests for swimming ect XD
theres a lot they would have to do D:

Only the very first thing in this massive stream of non-punctuated text is necessary: "make swimming animations". I suppose "ability to move in a 3d space" is appropriate as well, though the controls themselves are very basic and swimming is really not some wild and crazy innovation in MMOs. People know how to do it.

We don't need gear effects on swimming distance, or new enemies, or new attacks and animations, or new FATES, or any adjustments to fishing, or specific gear, or specific quests. We already have swimsuits, but those shouldn't be necessary to swim.

Seriously. Or wade into a river. Or go exploring that marsh around the Sanctum of the Twelve. Or swim off the coast of Costa del Sol. Or jump off the Burning Wall. Or any number of other fun things. Fun is too much effort, apparently.

SWTOR (PC Master Race Only) you also couldn't swim.
You can swim in GW2, though. Your correlation doesn't exactly hold up.

I should have clarified. I was referencing another point brought up, the reason why the world is so small/ instanced is because of "PS3 limitations"
Yet GW2's world is instanced and zoned up as well, is that because of a console limitation? I think not

I want to swim too! But unfortunately I don't think it's gonna happen. I suggested this in my thread a few months ago. As much as I love this game, you can't deny the truth in the following post:

Hell we don't even have a fully featured forum that we can post in without a character size limit. Half-assed forum. Half-assed game. This is what consoles do to MMOs.
