Is Asus Zenbook UX301 / UX302 enough for playing FFXIV ARR?

Is Asus Zenbook UX301 / UX302 enough for playing FFXIV ARR?

Do anyone is using it? I wonder what setting you can play well on it. Does it over heat quickly? Lousy? How many hours you can play while it is still running smoothy?

    Thank for your information.

The integrated graphics card greatly concerns me. Even if you are able to get the game to run properly (I would check to see if the integrated card is compatible with the game -- perhaps someone else could weigh in on this), you may need to play the game on lower settings than if you had a dedicated card. If you are looking to spend that kind of money on a laptop, why not buy one of the Asus G-series laptops? Asus makes some great gaming laptops. I have been exclusively using G-series Asus laptops since 2008, and I have never had an issue with them. I currently use a G74 that I bought in late 2011 for around $1,000 and it still runs great. The graphic settings for the game automatically 'adjust' to 'high laptop' for FFXIV, and I use an external monitor in order to get 1080p resolution. You could easily buy something much nicer for that $1,800~ the laptop you mentioned would cost. Do you really care that much about the touch screen?

Here is a snippet from a review I found on Amazon: --The integrated Iris 5100 graphics are actually capable of running fairly intense programs, newer games like Skyrim, for example, though only on low graphics settings. Still, it's impressive for an integrated unit.

(In general, games like Skyrim are programmed really well and thus won't require much power from your computer. The fact that this person mentioned that you should play Skyrim on lower settings concerns me greatly.)
