Hamlet is where team-work between all classes really begins and what end-game should really be about,lol! I would probably compare it to a XIV version of "the Dunes" in FFXI.

Real tactical & strategic MMO COMBAT. (PvE)

It would be nice for PVP? 1 team as enemies, 1 team as protection.

No idea is a bad idea if it's to heighten the challenge on a bigger scale.

When someone is negative about good, creative content, all I can say is: LTP.
It's a MMO and this is the kind of content that should be in FFXIV over any FATE.

Except for all the reasons I have subsequently posted it was not GOOD or CREATIVE. It incentivized doing nothing for 20 minutes kiting a boss for little to no reward. It was AWFUL content that shoe horned in to a dying game to retain subscriptions up until the last minute.

Your just wrong buddy. People can feel the way they want to feel without being forced to feel bad about it. What your are saying in some cases is considered abuse. And if we were married or living together it would be domestic violence.

People CAN feel however they like, but they SHOULD feel bad.

I would also ask you refrain from starting sentences with conjunctives such as "and". It makes me feel uncomfortable and it should make you feel bad. In the future when we are room mates I will leave post-it notes on all of your things letting you know you WILL feel bad for owning them, I will not yet tell you how I know you will feel bad, but in due course you will come to feel dread.

I know it's old. And that's exactly what the quote means! It literally says that hamlet defense is now a part of FATE. The thing is they are exactly like every other FATE, except with a different background music. Try going to Poor Maid's Mill or Highbridge and take part in a FATE. And no matter how much SE tries to force us to love FATE, it is still the most boring thing ever.

There are many things that were removed that they didn't announce in the achievements list. For example, secondary tool gathering for MIN and BTN, gil drops from enemy achievements (even though enemies now drop more gil than ever...), A Little Something On The Side, all faction leve-related achievements, all caravan-related achievements... So that list is pointless, as it was going to allow us to collect all achievements that were going away, but didn't.

Hamlet defense wasn't exactly the most exciting thing ever, no. But it was something. Now, DoL and DoH instead have nothing. I quite enjoyed hamlet defense as DoL and DoH, but of course it could be better. They didn't have to re-introduce the exact same thing, but it would be nice to have some content for DoL and DoH. I hope they reconsider and add something more, and make DoL and DoH the "main classes" that are "just as important as the DoW/DoM classes" as was originally the plan!

Please SE, make Crafting/Gathering more relevant again. I am all for them tweaking the concept so it works better, but don't just trash it altogether. Pushing DoH/Dol to the sidelines was the worst thing SE did going into 2.0 imo.
