Why I can't stop playing FFXIV

I am glad to see a post about how much people love the game. I myself find it incredible. One of the best Final Fantasies out for a long time. I am so sad to see these forums filled with complaints and downers. Thanks for showing I am not alone in enjoying this game.

I feel that the sylphlands have the best music, not sure why but it's sort of grown on me.

Stuff I like about XIV:
Being able to do everything on one char is brilliant.
Traveling to Mor Dhona and being confronted with a truly bizarre /shout fest.
That I always have something to do when I login, I see a lot of people say it's easy to level everything to 50 and wonder what the hell I did wrong when it took me nearly 2 months of casual play to level my ACN to 50.
Crafting. The economy may be a mess but my WVR lets me wear pseudo-vanity while not doing endgame stuff.

The music in Limsa sounds like they ripped it from How To Train Your Dragon. Not that I'm complaining, I like it.

Me too. The whole sylph thing grew on me, it's hard to think those guys can be evulz.

The Sylphlands seem to have that cartoony eeriness to it. You almost expect Ramuh to magically appear and blast you to dust for setting foot in the place.

The music in Rootslake during the day is almost too relaxing considering there are Stropers all over the area.

A modified version called the armory system. It's funny that they never forget this greatest aspect of FFXI but ditch everything else.
I also admire the same subscription model to cancel after a month so i can return.

I love the details in the dungeons ^.^;; Wanderer's Palace, the only thing is when we unlock these dungeons I wish they would've given you a bit of lore behind where it came from or something, maybe even a little mini-quests to build up the lore!

Any who the details in these dungeons area's are jaw dropping, from how the dungeon looks different with the time of day, to the tiny little things they put in the water

If you ever clear Brayfox, its a gorgeous dungeon to take pictures of when your finished

in fact I'm spoiled by it.

also, it is a very gorgeous game. Character animations are superb, the landscapes are amazing.

some of the best combat animations in the Genre, to be honest.

This game is great atm (although) is does need work in certain areas) I'd give it a 4 out of 5. Way better than FF11 hands down. Arguably the best new mmo out right now. The game seems to do nothing but get better every update so I'm pleased and sticking with it. I can't wait to see what the future brings.

While i agree there are a lot of complaint threads, there is a good reason for them. And no i don't mean to drag this thread down to be negative, but people complain because they too love the game and want to see it improved upon. If they didn't care, they'd just quit and move on. But they complain as a cry for help even if it doesn't seem it.

But on topic: I just finished the main story and felt so accomplished after completing it. Loved the last dungeons which is odd since i hated dungeons till this point. Started my BLM relic aswell which i'm happy about. Now to find people willing to help a newb BLM with those fights to finish it.
