Why I can't stop playing FFXIV

Class system in this game is such a great idea, I love that I do everything on one character if I want. I know its not unique to XIV, but its still a great design.

Chocobos. Greatest. Mount. EVER! Plus getting to change their armor keeps the same mount feeling fresh, I haven't used any other mount since launch!

Graphics, some would argue, but I think the art style is fantastic, its crisp, clean and walks that thin line between cartoony and real. Greatest looking MMO ever? Probably not, but its still amazing looking to me!

I'll stop here because I'm gushing. Im not really even caught up into the 2.1 content yet, but I'm eagerly waiting to see what the future holds for this game!

One of my favorite things! I don't have many other jobs leveled up, but having the option to do it on one toon is awesome. Especially for people whom want a cheaper monthly sub since its 12 bucks Instead of 15 a month, not a huge difference, but a nice gesture from SE.

A modified version called the armory system. It's funny that they never forget this greatest aspect of FFXI but ditch everything else.
I also admire the same subscription model to cancel after a month so i can return.

in fact I'm spoiled by it.

also, it is a very gorgeous game. Character animations are superb, the landscapes are amazing.

some of the best combat animations in the Genre, to be honest.

This is why I love the FF MMOs more than other MMOs. I love the fact that you can do anything you want on any character, and if you want to switch, you don't have to do everything all over again on another character.

Careful. There are people here who won't be happy until XIV is turned into a grindfest that can only be enjoyed by people who play certain classes approved by a certain elitist forum. Your enthusiam might trigger their posting instincts something fierce.

On topic (if there was one offered): The Armory system, while not perfect, is definitely a plus for XIV. Some of the locales are are unbelievably designed (Costa del Sol is postcard-quality on clear and sunny days).

Dang right Costa Del Sol is gorgeous! Even the music for the beach makes it feel like more than a quest hub, feels like a getaway area to me .

I didn't have a topic in mind for the thread, I just can't stand eternal doom n gloomers that do nothing but complain about enjoyable stuff.

The game has its flaws, but it has many great qualities too. So many that I pay for my sub 3 months at a time, something I've never done in an MMO before.
