Cannot progress "In the Grim Darkness of the Forest" quest

Steps:
1. Complete the "Don't Look Down Quest" by doing the quest normally and speaking to Theodore.
2. Theodore will then tell you about the shadow he saw, and will send you down Matron's Lethe to speak to Roseline.
3. The Quest activates, but once you get down to Roseline, you can't speak to her to finish the quest.
