

The same is true for weapons, Relic(+1) is job only.I already covered that when I mentioned "You trade high sustain for high burst." When you're bursting, the wealth of additional cooldowns available to boost damage offsets the lower main stat. Also, how much main stat you lose depends a lot on what gear you're using. Myth gear is job only, but allagan can be used by the class.
Or...they could just drop classes alltogether and focus on making the jobs actually unique.

Actually 5 is alot considering how crappy some of the skills you get are. PLD the only thing really worth picking up are SS and maybe bloodbath
This. I want to them to give us no restriction on abilities and traits you can cross-class when you're on a class, wasn't that the entire point? Make jobs the focused specialized roles, and make me able to customize-build interesting things when I'm on the class. As it is, this is a completely superfluous system because there's only ever like 3 or 4 abilities that end up actually being useful.

The wealth of additional cooldowns. Do you mean Raging Strikes because that's a pretty trivial trade off.
You lose Dragon Kick/1ilm punch/fists of fire/main stat/gear(maybe) all for raging strikes?
