They've done a great job so far. They've been so quiet lately. Why? Because they're hard at work pushing out 2.2 for you. It's not that they should be "developing faster" at all..because again, your post is uneducated. We're getting major patches every other month. Which is just fine.
And yes it is FALSE. Because it's been said countless times that the game should be treated as "NEW" because it's all been built from the ground up. Yes some character models and animations are the same. But that all accounts for maybe 5% of the game where the rest is all completely new.

Well, I certainly view it as new... not everyone agrees and with the amount of reused assets, it's an understandable argument. They've done a great job so far. They've been so quiet lately. Why? There is no true or false. You can "view" it however you want, but all that matters is how they continue to support it. Personally, I think the original- or what will come to be known possibly as "classic" content is way to small/limited. The developments I have seen do not seem to really be expanding the world much. It seems like more linear development- that actually seems to erode previous development.
It seems difficult to expand the world with this incredibly linear style... it seems as though the more they create, the more they erode what was out before... so they never really get anywhere...
There kind of is a true or false because the game being "completely new" is something the FFXIV team has said themselves lol. That wasn't my opinion. That's what it is.Well, I certainly view it as new... not everyone agrees and with the amount of reused assets, it's an understandable argument.

And there's plenty content for the beginning. Geez you should have seen 1.0 if you think this is nothing.
And idk if you were an XI player, but there was very few content in the beginning of XI, and only 6 jobs to start with. That's less than what XIV:ARR has to start with. Look at it now. 20+ Jobs, 3.5 continents (I say .5 because in Wings of the Goddess you can go back in time and revisit original areas in a different time/light/etc) And it's just thriving and overflowing with content. Later down the road XIV will be so different.
EDIT: just saw your post saying you played 1.0. lol
Oh and while I'm at it, development of ARR started from early 2011. It was longer than a year development.
