Wel, let me spoon feed to you, in real life you'll have more than one game, plus something else to do besides games. What about people that don't have tons of free time and complain about QUALITY of content (aka mindlessly repeating the same dungeons = endgame)?? I'm not wasting my little bit of free time on that. That's not fun... that's why I sometimes play after reset and logout for the week. I don't want to run the same 5 mans grinding tomes....talk about get a life...
Should I name them one by one for you?
Obviously you don't have a clue what i'm talking about, sorry for you, kiddo.

Well, I have been looking at some other F2P games... like EQ 2 (I played that a long time ago... the AAs give you some long term playability)... even Vanguard.
Even though they aren't the best games... I can't help thinking that... well, they ARE free... and they provide more playability then one night a week.... so what exactly am I paying for? I seem to be paying for a bunch of time I am locked out of doing what I find fun in the game.... that doesn't make sense.

No thanks, you can see my other response, plus I have RL hobbies. You can see my other post, the problem is that I am ending up paying for 1 night a week's worth of playtime. My other hobbies don't cost money for not doing something. They aren't subscription based.
A subscription based model begs the question from the consumer- what am I getting for paying an ongoing expense? Am I getting entertainment on demand?
In this case, I feel like the answer is yes- one day a week.

I prefer the points being flexible, so I can play what I feel like and use the points to gear up what I feel like. I had 4+ capped characters in WoW and the thought of valor-capping each of them a week was nauseating. Would be nice to have a small cap increase for each 50 DoW/DoM you had though.
re: rollover mythology. If you pay a subscription for a game and didn't use it, it's not the game's fault or problem. The game's not going F2P model for the present so when to sub or cancel is just something you'll have to plan around. Also, rollover myth could be easily abused if they happen to recycle philo/myth tokens for next tier like WoW does - just stop playing for a couple weeks before a patch is incoming and oh hey, a 1800 myth cap on the first week of new content!

I'm going to say that if you're only getting 4-5 hours a month out of this game and you're not happy with it then this probably isn't the game for you. All MMOs are set up to have repetitive tasks, so it really doesn't matter which game you play, you're only going to be able to accomplish so much before repeating content. If anything, it sounds like you need 7-8 MMOs at your disposal at any one time if you want to avoid doing the same stuff all of the time.
I don't really understand this mindset, since once you collect all the gear the game is over for the majority of the population. Is that what players want? The caps/lockouts are there to remind you to slow down, since obtaining all your coil/myth gears faster doesn't make the game better in the end.
BTW, I see a lot of "hardcore" players list "easy to complete" content such as coil/ct/primals as justification for being bored and "done for the week". In most games I've played the "hardcore" players were the ones heavily involved in PVP, since it offers the most challenge and requires more skill and coordination than scripted PVE content. You'd think that all the so called "hardcore" players here would now be including PVP in their list of stuff that they "beat" every week.
TL;DR: bored gear collectors.
Obviously you don't have a clue what you are trying to say.
If I'm paying to play something I want some satisfaction out of the game. I can only run Coil once a week and not guaranteed a drop. Why do I want to level every other job to a point lower than what I'm already at if I know I'm not going to get gear progression on them? I wouldn't even care if they eliminated the treasure chest and made allagan gear a drop item. I'd have a better chance getting something that way rather than run it once and know I'm not going to get anything.I don't really understand this mindset, since once you collect all the gear the game is over for the majority of the population. As someone who works a lot, but also has time to play a lot due to the timing of shifts, i like the Myth Cap and the Coil Lockouts. It'd nice to have Coil behave a little bit like CT so you can run it multiple times with friends/FCmates, but it's fine as it is.
I have my Monk beginning to clear Coil, my Warrior is geared for it but hasn't tried to get in there, my SCH will be ready this week, my Dragoon will be ready as soon as i finish getting my SCH Relic, and my 47 Paladin is already Coil worthy thanks to my Warrior gear.
So color me confused as to how/why it could be difficult to gear alt Job with the current caps and lockouts.
PS:I haven't even been farming CT, which i need to get around to doing ... But i spend my time leveling Jobs and running Primals for fun.
If all you want out of the game is the very best gear right now, MMOs, or at least this one, is not for you, and you clearly aren't enjoying your time spent here so maybe try to find a game that appeals to you rather than trying to force change in game others are perfectly happy with?If I'm paying to play something I want some satisfaction out of the game. As a footnote, Having multiple Jobs ready to receive Coil gear means less wasted drops, and faster gearing up process as you will already have some i90s by the time you finish up your main Job and move to the next.
