    I stopped playing because of all the why I stopped playing threads.

    People giving the wait for more content do not understand it. It is not the lack of content it is the design direction of the game.
    The "design direction" of this game is fine. From what ive seen many people saying this are hardcores who hate casuals. Honestly... if nothing in this game is challenging you, I doubt many other games will. I don't know many "casuals" who have legit beaten Twintania or titan extreme (or even titan hard for that matter). Turn 5 is not going to stay the hardest thing in the game forever. Just like every other MMO in existence the game expands over time and more challenging content appears.

    If you're quitting because this game isn't hard enough, You're not going to be satisfied anywhere else.

    so everyone who is gona stop play this game will post on the forum with a big list of q.q.
    why should dev adapt to those who play 10 + hours a day?
    You know there are thousands of players who are not even passed the Titan Hard mode, not even been inside the CT or coil.
    Next patch it will certainly be more for those who are 50, then dev has promised that there will be expansions that will be huge.

    Weekly Maintenance may be that they need to fix the bugs little things that you do not see or know about.
    Be patient, it will certainly be better

    The thousands of players who not beat titan hard... are extremely behind the ball. It has been what 5months. IT takes a week to get to titan hard, if you play 2hrs a night.

    Why should the game be catered to those who are not even playing it in the first place?

    My FC keeps getting smaller and smaller - People log-on on mondays, then disappear for a week.
    I too am finding myself bored. Even Mrhappy was bored enough that he started playing XI again.

    In my humble opinion, these are the issues (in descending order of impact) that are negatively effecting this game:

    1. Content -
    "Open world with nothing to do"


    2. Not Guild Friendly - for those of us who enjoy playing the game with groups of friends, you're limited to 8 man content at best. That combined with point #3 creates a very closed and limited social experience. Crystal tower disappointed everyone due to the DF feature being part of the mechanics. Rather than follow a tried and tested formula such as RoZ's Sky system, they chose to blindly follow other MMO's and completely disregarded their own primary "lessons-learned" from XI. Instead they carried over the aspects of XI that no one ever gave a crap about and few participated in. Watch Chocobo Racing and Pankraton (Pokemon) be included in 2.3 or 2.4

    3. Lockouts and cool downs around the only content you could otherwise spam and would keep you busy.

    4. Gear progression - If its not AF2 or Coil drops, there really is no point in investing in it. As a new player, spam AK for a week and get the drops while building philosophy for your DL, purchase it from rowena, use each item for literally a week or 2, until you can afford the AF2 mythology or get a coil drop. Melded gear is a waste of effort and gil, as are crafts (there are a few exceptions, accessory options that are BiS)

    5. Lack of solid AI in enemy mobs: Dodge dodge dodge mechanics - Memorizing sequences of attacks =/= challenging, entertaining fights. Until now, XIV's biggest challenge is latency.(Yes it has improved a lot since 2.1, but its still the only reason anyone competent would ever get hit by a divebomb or a landslide) Working as intended no doubt.

    6.Job design - so we got the redundant aspects of other MMOs but none of the good stuff. Why can't our jobs be more customized? Why didn't they take the spec path? Why not at least the merit system from XI if having the option to be FF's version of a fury/arms/prot warrior is too much for SE?
