Why I stopped paying for FFXIV

This is the only game in my gigantic library of PC games that lags. Yet somehow there are a bunch of people in here trying to defend SE by saying it's our ISP or it's somewhere on the route to the servers.

Stop being a fanboy, it's their servers/network. They really need to fix it. People leaving due to latency affects you as well. People have a right to be upset when they can't even get a decent connection in a subscription based game.

I do not always deal with latency but it is there when the traffic picks up/more players log on.

*We are all on the same team here. We all like playing this game. Some people are having serious latency issues and SE needs to fix it.

Its not my connection. It's not my ISP. It's on SE's end. This isn't the year 2000 where we are all on dial up and we need to tweak everything for individual games. Stop looking for stupid fixes. They need to spend some money on better servers/infrastructure. That's the bottom line.

Latency wouldn't be so bad. if they didn't make game fight reply so much on position ( Server side). end of story.

This one bothers me so much. People come here expressing problems with lag latency etc. but when others try to give them possible solutions they rather continue having problems and keep complaining instead of trying a few different methods that seem to work for a large amount of players.
I'm not trying to say all people who have problems with this game are at fault etc. but there are dozens of people who don't have problems which means that SEs server are working. Could they be improved? Sure but that is not really the point. Every system can be optimized. That goes for your pc/isp as well.

Everyone here would rather gleefully ignore the fact that some of us have no problems at all. Then they like to gleefully ignore other things as well. Such as the simple fact that apps like WTFast and Battleping work even for those of us where distance shouldn't be a problem. They like to ignore that those two facts even though they mean it definitely isn't the server structure because if it was everyone would have the problem and those programs would have negligible effects for those of us close to the server. They would rather come here crying about it despite all evidence pointing to a routing issue on some network node many of us go through. There is boat loads of evidence, but no one cares.

Well it got *both* me and my wifes computers able to live through titan. I *used* to have horrid lag and *always* died to those stupid *circles* and now, I can play just fine.

Have it your way with your "latency"

Try and help someone and all you get is complaints.
