    Cover glitch/oversight

    In a match, I covered my healer just before I was slept, and the healer stayed near me. I was taking damage for the healer, but not waking up. It's my opinion that either damage done to me should wake me when I'm covering the healer, or I shouldn't be able to cover my healer while I'm sleeping. What happens currently is both unrealistic and unbalanced, in my opinion.

    I think it's working as intended. The sleep should only break on a direct attack/area effect, nothing indirect.

    I have more a problem with the Cover bug that lets the attackers GCD a Paladin:

    I'm not familiar with any parsing programs, so you might need to break that down for me. Are you saying they can ignore the GCD timer when they're hitting a covered target?

    Placed Cover on a healer and was hit indirectly by those 1,300-2,600 damage autoattacks/weaponskills which shouldn't be hitting that high.

    I think it's with how Cover interacts with abilities like Testudo, Rampart, etc. in amplifying the damage received instead of mitigating it. Can't really replicate it on demand - most of the time it doesn't happen, and on those rare times your HP is shaved away in a second.

    The way Cover works is that you take the total damage from the target you're covering using all of their buffs and defense rating. No mitigation you apply to yourself will change that. Not even Hallowed Ground will stop incoming damage from a target you're covering.

    Difficult to confirm or deny, but apparently there's a bug with Cover where you'll take a huge amount of damage instantly after you put it on someone.
    Some people said it was damage they'd taken prior to the cover being put on, but I dunno.

    I've certainly seen paladins drop when they cover, even without an attack going out after the application.

    Cover transfers unmitigated damage to the caster so the reduction isn't double dipped. Say your healer has 200 morale and you have 200 morale and Shield Oath, you will only cover the damage up to 200 morale on your healer, your Shield Oath, Rampart, Bulwark and even Hallowed Ground will not prevent any damage. Damage transfered by Cover is considered a DoT not a direct damage. As in say if a SMN does Bio on you it doesn't have a front load damage, that itself will not wake you up from Sleep.

    3,600 damage Butcher's Blocks and 1,000 damage Leg Sweeps are an impossibility. Cover is broken.
