The simple solution would be to prioritize first timers over tome farmers for roulette and df.
If a first timer starts the mission and doesn't complete it - give no rewards.
What's worse is the tanks that won't even wait the small amount of time that it takes some of us with slower HDDs to skip the cutscenes. Just had a tank lock BOTH of us healers out of Nero. He then went on to pull Ultima Weapon while I was buffing, aggroing it on me and getting me killed.
I generally have no trouble waiting for people to finish watching cutscenes. But then, I also have absolutely no need to do the duty finder for main scenario, so depending on which instance we are talking about, SE really should look into removing some of the stupid filler cutscenes. (like in castrum meridianum.)
Didn't know this was still a problem. Honestly, I don't give one shiet if you paid 30 bucks for yadayada and I deserve yadayada. You're just stating the obvious. It's just really funny how 6 or the majority voted to kick you out of the party. If you believe those people are abusing the system, then go report them. If you want to enjoy and "expect" the players to "patiently" wait for you, create a party finder and state that you are watching all cutscenes, only if you still have trouble with the DF/Roulettes.
You care about no one but yourself, shuffle the blame of "bad design" onto others, and find it hilarious when people kick people in violation of the ToS agreement....Didn't know this was still a problem. ...gotchya, how quaint.
I am absolutely confused with what you're trying to point out? Hmmm, I care about no one but myself, and this is suppose to be wrong? If the design is flawed, why not try to work around it instead of wasting your own time on stupid things when you could do better things? And I guess you took it so literally when I say I find it "funny?" (strange, weird, awkward)? Lol, please come back and enlighten me, I really don't know what you are trying to point out.
Whenever I run CM or Prat, I always make it a point to ask if there are any newbies present that wish to watch the cutscenes. I will then defend them should others take opposition to the delays. I wil also wait for them so they don't get left out in the cold.
But yes, having these cutscenes in the middle of dungeons is a terrible design choice.
The best solution is indeed to use the party finder to form a party of people who don't mind / want to watch all cutscenes.
I didn't read the whole thread because, who has time for that...Who's genius idea was it to put 5-minutes cutscenes before/after bosses?
I paid $30 and intend to get what I paid for, but if I sit there and watch the cutscenes for the first time I get kicked from the party. So why even have them to begin with?
As a DPS class it's especially annoying because it takes about an hour just to get back in.
At any time do you let the group know that you plan to watch the CS because it is your first go?
Or do you just stay silent, leaving people to believe you are afk in a CS, leeching??
If that is the case why should we not also kick the people that dont roll on items or by that matter at a dps meter to the game and then kick those people that dont meet your requirements as well.
I agree with others that if you want a Speed run then form your own party and dont use the Roulette when you dont want to play nice with others.
