Constantly kicked for watching cutscenes

All I'm hearing from the "watch the cutscenes later" group is "Waaaaaaaahhhh... I want my 300 useless tomes now and cannot be arsed to wait an extra five-ten minutes."

And to the person trying to use a player's first time as being "one time" as a reason why they should skip? You're ignoring the point. You only get one first time. There after the experience is forever ruined.

I still hate going to CM to this day because of a horrible run through it as my first time (and my first introduction to the vileness that is the vocal end-game community).

This. THIS, a thousand times. I'm still irritated that I was pressured to skip my first time through the end of the storyline I'd loved so much up until then. That first time experience is something I'll never get back. Hell, the story scenes don't even add more than ten, fifteen minutes tops to the total time of the dungeon! People are just abusing the system to get what they want faster, and it's hurting the new players who have enjoy this game more than anybody else.

And the worst part of it is that anybody selfish enough to do this to another player (and there are plenty of these people out there!) are selfish to the point that they just don't care if it ruins your fun or not. All they care about is their fast tome reward. There's just no solving this by appealing to the players, so it has to be a fix to the way the system works if anything's going to be done about it.

Who's genius idea was it to put 5-minutes cutscenes before/after bosses?

I paid $30 and intend to get what I paid for, but if I sit there and watch the cutscenes for the first time I get kicked from the party. So why even have them to begin with?

As a DPS class it's especially annoying because it takes about an hour just to get back in.

Statement: Use Party Finder to build a Story Mode group, 0 chances of being kicked that way.

Yes, you only get one time to watch the cutscenes, and enjoy the actual content with the cutscenes in it - as it was designed.

Problem is, regardless of what you think/want, there will always be more people running MSQ Roulette for the fast tome gain, or just running it for their second+ time than there will be people running it for their first. Since it is basically impossible for that to change unless they make it so the tome gain isn't so fast and effectively have people ignore it more than they already do, that's how it is.

So if that one, first time experience is so important to a person it is in their best interest to use the PF to do their first clear of the dungeon under the pretense of watching all cutscenes. It's right there in the options when forming a PF ad for good reason. There are also plenty of people clearing it for the first time who don't care about watching the cutscenes right then and there and are perfectly happy watching them in the inn later, so we're talking about quite a niche thing here.

Once you do the one-time clear fully immersed, you'll be part of the 2+ group where skipping cutscenes will at the very least not be a problem for you, and probably be preferred due to the novelty having worn off and the gain in time being significant. Then you can comfortably do your daily roulette and gain tomes nice and fast like everyone else.

Honestly this is the biggest reason I like being with the endgame crowd for new content. When you're with them, you're free to watch the first-time cutscenes because the chances are the rest of your team also hasn't seen them. My greatest relief about beating Twintania wasn't any of the loot, but actually knowing that nobody from that point on could spoil my experience of watching the final cutscenes for binding coil. The Final fantasy series has always been about it's story before anything else.

There's a lot of problems that people are really selfish about not letting people enjoy the cutscenes. I mean come on this is a final fantasy game. You should expect cutscenes everywhere.
A lot of these people telling people to ruin their enjoyment of running a dungeon the first time should really take a moment to think about the fact that one the tomes are your payment to help new people get to enjoy the game fully, two that a lot of these people watched them the first time they did it so they shouldn't be forcing people to skip, three yes you can watch them later but doing that will make them not as enjoyable as others have pointed out that it will be a disjointed mess, and the dungeon itself will not make a lot of sense, and four how many of you really expect people to be able to form a full party for watching cutscenes in PF? We tried for hours and couldn't do it.
There are more than enough people in PF if you want to do speed runs. But not nearly enough for actual story content.

The vote-kick system never should of been implemented. Players cannot be trusted to play nice.

If someone kicks you for watching a cut scene they are showing you how they feel about themselves. That the don't care about other players and aren't considerate of others.

I'm kind of a 'go with the flow' type of person. I always give myself more than enough time to run a DF if I need to (Usually doing my dailies in the late hours of the night to avoid husband-aggro, lol).

My first time through, I skipped everything because I'm not a big cutscene person, but I've never told anyone to skip if they wanted to watch. I was more worried about screwing up then watching scenes. (I took the downtime to read a guide I had up, lol).

Over all the MMO's I've played, having to wait for a CS or someone has never bothered me ... I can turn on Netflix/Youtube and watch something while I wait.
