Pokemon Buddy System Exp Rewards

If you've played pokemon at all (especially X and Y), you are already aware of this type of system.

If not, wouldn't it be nice to be able to pick a "Favorite" class in your list of available Desciples (L/H/M/W) and gain a small amount of experience towards that class every time you gain experience on any (edit)level 50 job?

Nothing too crazy, but just a little extra here and there so you can continue to level up that level 31 MNK, while doing your high level roulette as DRG or SCH?

Maybe you REALLY HATE playing a Gladiator/Paladin, but you NEED to get provoke as your Warrior. Set Gladiator as your current "Favorite" and (edit) do your Warrior dailies, then get Gladiator to level 22 for provoke after a while without playing it at all!

This will work especially well when new classes/jobs are released and you have like 40 classes to level if you ever hope to get ALL of the cross abilities, even if you don't want to get them all to max.

(edit: I like the idea of it only being available to get bonus experience as a level 50 job so experience isn't wasted, especially for people who don't enjoy leveling more than one job.)

I'm not really feeling this idea. You can set whatever Disciple you want, whenever you want to your favourite, just to get a boost! Its already easy and quick to level up so this idea isn't needed.

Keep up the creative thinking but this one isn't for me.

Funny because I was thinking something similar where you can choose one class to share a very small percentage of the exp you gain, but it needs to be of the same disciple.

As a lv 50 whm it kinda annoys me that the exp I am getting is wasted.

Nice idea, but I don't think they'll implend it. Its easy enough to level as is. Especially if you have a lv 50 character

You want the feature that trivialized leveling in Pokemon to be brought into a game in which leveling is already stupidly easy? Alright.

maybe toward chocobo (companion) ? (well it is not like it is hard to lvl up a chocobo either, but I think more about when you can have multi chocobo)

It's not about the game being easy to level, it's about the game being boring to level.

Easy or not, grinding FATEs/LEVEs/Dungeons is no fun.

At least with a feature like this, you wouldn't be forced to grind in order to get your other jobs up.

However, I do like the idea about only gaining bonus experience as a level 50 job so the experience isn't wasted.

It's far too easy to level as it is, if you want provoke your going to have to "Earn" it...can't beleive I'm even saying that's something someone earns instead of sleepwalks into.

If you could apply it to a portion of your XP to your Chocobo without having it out, that'd be great...
