Arcanum may be the place for you (we do not foster trolls hiding under bridges)

Arcanum is a rank 8 FC with a mix of new and old players from both the NA and Oceanic timezones. We particularly welcome new players who want a place to get to know friends and learn the game, but anyone is welcome. We like to experience all aspects of the game (leveling, crafting, endgame etc) and recently started weekly events for anyone who is online and wants to join in (coil farming, primals, etc), but we are NOT a hardcore FC and never will be. You won't be kicked for making mistakes, missing runs, or the like. You can take an extended leave from the game and always have a place waiting for you in the FC when you return.

We are also very big on letting first timers watch their cutscenes and often try to get full groups together for the big story dungeons so people dont feel pressured if they want to enjoy it without someone telling them to watch the cutscenes later in the inn room.

We support daily FC buffs, access to FC chests and accept any who want to join, however we don't want a FC that is made up of masses of faceless players that never get involved, so we encourage all members to chat, be friendly and have fun together. If you are already committed to a FC, or want to test the waters before joining, we have an LS you are welcome to join.

Our LS has many people not a part of our FC, and we use it as a primary chat rather than FC chat. We are allied with Lunar Cry FC.

We have a home in the Goblet, ward 2 lot 20. Come pay us a visit. The LS usually hangs out in the Goblet together.

We have mumble and raidcall, info is given to members. It's convenient to turn it on in events but by no means necessary- we usually are just making crude jokes and members question WTH am I listening to when my music can be heard through the mic ):

May Edit: We are still accepting any who want to join, but we're particularly interested in Tanks, White Mages and Bards at the moment if you are interested in getting involved in events with us. (We work around what classes we already have so we haven't ever had to deny anyone, but tanks and white mages we tend to have to shuffle people around for. Bards are not necessarily in short supply but it often seems to be our regular bards that have to switch to tank or healer so more won't hurt).

Please note: Our LS is starting to get rather full and we are growing each day. We may soon start removing inactive FC members from it to make room BUT they will not be removed from the FC. As stated earlier we do not want to kick anyone for being absent or making people feel like they have to log on regularly. If/when these people return they will be reinvited to the LS.

While our LS has 100+ people in it, many of those are not active at the moment, we have a rule of not removing people unless absolutely necessary. So if you feel intimidated by large LS's don't be

We've now been rank 8 for some time and have a home! Things are really booming. Congratulations to Arcanum on their beautiful house in Ul'dah!

We use an LS to chat, as we now are allied with three smaller FC's who have their members pearled into our LS. Its a real party!

I'm fishing for a new FC that holds itself to it's words, and treat everyone in the FC the same(no special treatment just because someone is a officer). My last FC left a bad taste in my mouth, and would rather just move past it. If possible, I'd like to do a "trial run" of sorts with you guys, and if you are what you say you are, possibly join. I'm not adverse to helping new players(in fact, not helping them is the most harmful thing you can do to them), or any players in general. I treat everyone the same, love to joke and have fun with people. We all have our bad habits, and I'm no exception from that, but no one is perfect am I right? lol

We recently started doing regular events on weekends! This is usually farming coil turn 1 + 2 to help people with fresh 50s gear up, but we also have been messing around with other things. Its free for anyone in the LS to come (generally first come first serve in who's in the group, often rotating around) and everyone's agreed we've been having a lot of fun when it's just friends playing together rather than pugs or strict statics.

We usually have around 20-25 friendly people online at peak hours in the ls, 10-20 at other times thanks to our mix of timezones.

We'd really like some more healers in our group, particularly WHMs, for events as most people that have to go healer have something else as their main. Experience with content isnt really necessary, as always we are happy to teach and help people gear up (all the healer gear tends to drop to the floor too)
