    why is this happening? it says"FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working"

    Hi guys, I'm having this problem since today, everytime I logged in, I got this error.
    I've tried to restart my PC, but the results are still the same.
    Is there anyone can help me with this error?

    hmmm I've tried that, but still happening.. @@
    I've tried to copy the folder to another pc, but still happening..
    maybe my main folder is damaged, but dunno which part..
    (hoping there's file check from the FFXIV launcher)

    btw, I experienced that right after I clicked "PLAY" at launcher..
    then the FF windows pop, then the error pop..

    tried renaming FFXIV.cfg to something else?

    he/she said today. it would be weird if the driver stopped working all of a sudden. unless he/she has an nvidia and got the driver updated automatically breaking something (they got out a couple of days ago).

    umm... rename the "FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" ? or the "FFXIV.cfg"?
    and I'm abit confused on "If it works, move the FFXIV_CHR~ folders to the newly created one"

    hmmm.. tried that also..
    still error..

    anyway I meant the .cfg first and, if it didn't work, the folder.

    I want to piggyback on this and say I have the same problem. This only happens on my Lenovo T430 but I have not been able to play the game at all on the machine because of this error.

    Every time I hit play from the launcher I get the same crash error as the OP. When I try to run the benchmark for ffxiv, the window for the game comes up, instantly closes and I go into back the "launcher" for the benchmark. I have beat my head against the wall trying to play this game on this machine. For reference, My Lenovo computer has an Nvidia NVS5400M with updated drivers.

    I can play this game on my other laptop (much poorer specs) and my desktop just fine. However, I want to be able to play it on my more powerful laptop. If anyone has found a solution please let me know.

    I had the same error.. after updating my drivers I uninstalled and am now re-installing but mine was un responding before the launcher even showed up :x
