    So beautiful so bland

    On top of the duplicated terrain which is painfully obvious there is a lack of wow factor when outside the cities. It seems like it would be an easy fix to add landmarks and such to give players the feeling they aren't always in The same spot. You could also try making the camps bigger and different from each other. Little things like this do not go unnoticed. I can run from uldah to the ferry and not see anything of visual interest which is a shame because the graphics are incredible.

    It's pretty bad. Most of the time I navigate using only the map because everything looks the same. In FFXI I remember many zones where I didn't even need my map because it was easy to learn where I was based on landmarks and distinct graphic patterns.

    ew, terrible, i navigate looking at the minimap only as well, until i reach my destination. minimap off please.
    aye, you became accostumed to unique terrains and their landmarks. this is very difficult when most terrain is a repeat/copy paste/ or invert.

    Yep, yep, but art assets take the longest time and cost the most money to develop. You're better off hoping for new unreleased zones for the time being.

    Maybe if they would work on some zones that are much much smaller it would be easier for them to do?

    i read on another forum that they plan to redesign the entire map down the road, i think it was the 0-50 one zone thread. At first you look at these crystal clear graphics and you are blown away and after running from uldah to the ferry you realize that at least 1/3 of the map is duped and everything looks the same. Would be nice if they threw in a big tree here and there or a statue. I really like how the teleport area looks in 11 and they gave off a glow from a distance.

    i wanst really referring to a lack of different camps or areas but more so on how everything in the game looks the same. When im running from uldah to the ferry (example) it would be nice if there was a broken down carriage on the side of the trail or a huge tree or a one of a kind boulder. Also different plants and what not as you travel further. And every ath camp is identical. Why not make them look more unique. make the atherytes bigger so you can see them from a distance or so they give off a bright light at night. These are just general ideas and i put no thought in them at all so please dont pick them apart. However, in another forum i did read that the entire map will get an overhaul, but when. And landmarks could easily be created now and replaced in the new map.
