    favorite gameplay experience

With all the posts about market failure, player conduct, game problems, etc, let's try something fun. How about everyone post their favorite and/or funny game experience? I'll start:

I was running Hauk Manor HM as a sch for my duty roulette. I was teamed with a BLM, MNK, and WAR/PLD (I don't remember which) who I assume were already in a party. We were doing good on the dungeon and eventually get to the 2nd boss. After we defeat the boss, this dialog happens.

BLM: sorry some DPs don't know how to dodge Maya (me)
MNK: maybe some DPs don't wanna insult Maya's healing ability by dodging

This happened a few weeks ago, but I honestly still think about it and laugh. Definitely my favorite experience in this game so far.

We refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

I kind of enjoy those moments when a dungeon run goes sideways, yet the group still manages to pull through. It's in those moments that you find out what you're really capable of.

During a Haukke (normal) run, the tank left after the first pull, so we (two BRDs and one CNJ) continued clearing trash while waiting for a new tank. We cleared ourselves right up to the last boss's doorstep, died once to her, then got her down the second time (there was a disgusting amount of kiting involved). It felt good.

Another time, I went to Cutter's Cry with a couple of FC friends who were leveling BLM and MNK, we got in with a SCH who turned out to be from our server. On the sandworm boss, the SCH and MNK died with the boss around 30%. BLM spammed Physick on me while I threw out Cures and Stoneskins every now and then between my amazing PLD dps. We won somehow, but it was close. That sludge DoT was awful. On Chimera, SCH went down, then MNK, then eventually the BLM, so I desperately Shield Lob'd the boss from about 10% to dead.

    Good times!

Was healing Cutter's Cry and after we finished the fight I told the group I was sorry but I was a new healer and my first time healing the dungeon...their responses were, "What are you talking about you...you did great" I may be a little hard on myself but that was so nice to hear and it is also nice to see that players can actually be nice to each other and give good comments and feedback.

I like every single one of these stories. I want more.

I joined a stone vigil in progress at the 3rd boss. There was only 2 others dragoons. we waited for a tank then one of them asked me if I was a "healing goddess". My reply was no, but us 3 were gonna try. We did get a tank just before we went in, and we did beat her. One of the dragoons told me after the fight I was "a healing goddess in his book.". That made me feel so much better at the time. Honestly that was my best experience until the story above.

    ...hmm...

Well. I don't really have any of note for arr yet (Save for taking a successful leadership position in duty finder party. I'm happy about that.), but in 1.0 I had to snag some crystals or something from Mor Dhona. Back then, the area was littered with thin cliffs and halls as means to go from one area to the next. The only problem was, these areas where filled with evil eyes far above the level for the quest. Lacking companions to help fight off the endgame leveled enemies, I set off from the nearest atherite camp, removing my clothing to avoid gear damage should I have been defeated. I had to sneak right under their noses, being extra careful not to get in their line of vision. Sometimes coming right up to their side, gambling on which way they would move next. After sneaking through two cliffs and an opening riddled with the enemies, I eventually came to the clearing that held the next part of the quest.

The feeling of success I got from that is something I will always remember from this game. It felt like I did something not totally in line with the games expectation. Like the task I undertook was my own.
I really hope I can get that feeling again, but considering how systematically structured and planned out everything seems to be right now, that might be a long time in waiting. Still, here's hoping.

    I have two favorite moments:
When I tanked the entire last boss of Qarn as a kiting bard.

And when me and some friends ran Haukke Manor shortly after the Halloween event in ghost costumes. XD
