    I was hoping "Please make bosses more random." meant when walking around in the open world, you'd randomly get zoned into Extreme Primal instances. You know, like the old Final Fantasies. ^_~

    With no mitigation on the DS, I believe it's intended that the tank goes down. There's a large number of skills to mitigate that damage (virus / storm's path / rage of halone / eye for an eye / tank cd's / well timed cure II's / Regen / stoneskin / adlo), and if you aren't maximizing the potential and timing of them, you kind of deserve to wipe guaranteed IMO.

    It's not luck, and can be avoided 100% if everyone is on point with the mitigation.

    As far as RNG in fights goes, I think that if they had a separate mode for it and weren't afraid to experiment with some of the ideas in this thread, it could make for a really fun challenge that people couldn't just memorize, and had to actually react to.

    With the right mix of "guaranteed devastating attacks" and "random dangerous abilities that may proc" and a range of maybe 15-20 pre-created rotations (so people do not just "get lucky" on RNG), I think it can be done.

    I wouldn't alter the current fights, but something new would be good.

    I think if a boss was designed to attack randomly, SE would probably balance the abilities with that mind.

    Sounds like it could work if you kept it so random actions only occur at certain set times throughout the fight, so you still know when you need to react just not what you need to do.

    It just means that each ability is based on a fixed cooldown + a probability that the boss will use the ability. For example Mountain Busters may have a cooldown of 45 seconds, in which case we'll know that it won't come again within 45 seconds.

    But after the MB, we won't know if it's gonna be WotL coming or bombs or Landslide.

    Each ability could also get additional constraints, such as WotL cannot happen while there are bombs on the platform. Or that certain skills may cause another one to go into a short cooldown, which can prevent certain "impossible to avoid" situations.

    A party that knows how to deal with each of the mechanics will still down Titan easily, just that they won't be doing it half asleep.

    But then again, (most) games are designed to be beaten, and not everyone likes challenges. :3

    I want Titan Extreme to be Random! It one of my Favorite Fight! But as soon as you memorize the pattern and know what to ovoid, it is no longer a challenge and fun anymore. Think we need at least a hardest content in the game, making Titan Random will get there.
