Help with ideas for converting 8000000 Gil to something for a server transfer....

hahaha ya ideally I would like to not have to monopolize anything, hence the problem, with 8 million to deal with, I would end up having to buy so much I would be undercutting myself for weeks on the other legacy server

As some other said, make additional characters and use a friend to get a million on to each. That should cover most of your money.

You can also have a friend mail it to you, and then open the mail on your new server (it gets transfered too).

You are asking idea to monopolize the new server you going into?

8 million gil is hardly enough money to monopolize anything.

You should have no trouble buying 8 million Gil's worth of Level 4 Materia's and re-selling them. You might eat a bit of money if it sells cheaper on your new server, but it's better than losing the 8 mil altogether. I think I saw a Wind-up Tonberry on my server selling for 20mil because it was the only one up there. People love obscure minions!!

SE no doubt watch mass transfers of Gil between players so be prepared to get investigated in regards to RMT. They might find it a bit suspect and jump to conclusions.

Materia is most likely the best thing to buy... load up on 3 and 4's and then sell them when you get there.

The other option is to check the market your going to and find items there that sell well, and then buy them on your server, hopefully for cheaper then the destination server is buying them for.

The gil limit is there to prevent transfer for economical purposes. So if u try to bypass it, u may get punished.
