I agree, though the best way to gauge a community's opinion would be through in-game polling. Forum-goers are a minority and civil discussion is, unfortunately, few and far between. There's a reason why forums tend to ripen up during maintenances. Why take the time to go on a website, sign in, pick your main character, and go knee-deep in a social sewage-pile when you could instantly talk with your friends and guildmates while actually playing the game?Lol good point, but you do take the food back right? And say you don't like it yes?OR ask for a refund or ask for something else?
Sadly in ff14 we cant ask for a refund, but we can let them know what we don't like and like many people here they are making suggestions on whats not good. Is not that similar to asking for something else? And as the chef its their job to figure out what they need. Just like at starbucks for 1st timers. They don't know what they want, they go inside asking for something sweet and milky. The barista should discern what they want. They are paying customers.

I never once asked for people not to voice their disdain or concerns, I'm asking they have a little respect while doing so, and that they remember these people are human beings too...Lol good point, but you do take the food back right? I don't think people should be floating around the forum as much if not greater than playing the game their discussing. The fact that's there's more threads than you can count, it's a reason we can't find responses from GMs or CRs. Like what's been say,"Trolls do it for fun". Are they in-character? (idk)
THe more threads on the forums about this & that, it makes it seem that the game's not that interesting anymore. We should be spending more time chatting with our friends and killing the bad guys! ^^

Here's the million dollar question. Why do you care what other people do? Are they stopping you from playing the game? Is SE paying you to tell other players to have more respect? Didn't think so. SE doesn't care about what a very, very, very, very, very small percent of people are being rude about because they are still getting money from the rude/disrespectful complaining players. Which is all that matters.
People are going to do simply whatever they want/can and it's no amount of threads you can do to stop them.
Maybe I care because I care about my fellow man, and how we treat each other? Here's the million dollar question. Why do you care what other people do? Are they stopping you from playing the game? Is that SO hard to believe?
I'm not trying to stop them, I was asking for people to have some respect.
Thanks for the derail.

You might as well ask for babies to stop crying or politicians to stop lying.
People show plenty of apathy and inconsideration to others in the real world in person, and you think they'll behave better online?
I find your casual dismissal of people who disagree with you and the attempt to characterize them as bad people who doesn't care about others to be very disrespectful.

By your logic people should never push to be better people, simply because some people will be bad anyway.

Loool it's nothing wrong with my "attitude" truth is the big wigs at SE don't care, they don't even see the disrespectful posts. SE will start caring when the money stops flowing in, that's how companies work. That's why the pay other people to deal with customer complaints it's how companies work. What rock do you live under?
I've work customer service and when customers come being rude and complaining to us we just laugh and tell them to come back when they calm down. Which is what SE customer reps do, if you can ever get to one.
