but people when angry (no matter if its warranted) tend to be disrespectful towards the company and their representatives, thats exactly what i ment being part of the job
a complaining paying customer is always better than someone respectful who cant afford your product
Wow, all of these replies are just people trying to justify their behavior. Extremely disappointed in how many people are missing the point.
I never said the game doesn't have flaws...
I'm asking people to understand how hard it is to make a videogame, and we should have a little more appreciation and respect for the people who try their best to please everyone.
I'm done posting for the day. Nobody seems to actually read my post, they just care about defending their selfish opinions.

What most people have to realize is that the majority of people coming to a games forum are unhappy with the game and want to complain. Most people who're happily enjoying the game are too busy playing to want to come to the forum. Most people aren't going to come to the forum to say thank you for providing a game they make money from.
Forums always end up a place to complain. If someone gets kicked out of Titan because they got kicked for getting knocked off despite the fact they were miles away from Landslide and they want to complain, they're going to be annoyed.
Excepting people to be nice on a games forum is like expecting to use the DF for Titan EM and expecting everyone to be 100% perfect. There are nice people here as not all of us are here to complain, but most of the people here are just displeased.
Not to mention humans just enjoy ranting for no reason it would seem...
Moogle: Black Mage ftw.

Here's a link to a bunch of rotation and DPS numbers I wrote up to try help BLM see they aren't as weak as they might think.
[QUOTE=Vasher;1771261]This is a video game, not a government, please get real lol.
Please go create a better game if you think you can.
Or try to run a government, or major car company for that matter. Come back and tell us how easy it is.
you've never used example in your like to prove a point? I even pointed out at the beginning it was an extreme point of view.
Answer this question and i will 100% respect you and agree you.
Have you ever had a product or a food product you did not like? And felt it was not worth you money? If you have then why dont you become a cook/chef, or design your own product.
Let alone to do this you need investors, or a brand new bachelors degree in computer engineering.
But please answer this question, and i promise to answer any of your questions directly, and i wont beat around the bush.
We are better than this. It just so happens that the minority of players who have a problem with this game go on the forums to voice their complaints. Bigots using social media as a public stomping ground is, unfortunately, just one of the many cultural prices we must pay for enforcing free speech. The advent of the Internet and the rise of phycological anonymity simply fanned the flames of what politicians have been, and still are, doing since the invention of televised politics in a government system powered by arguments and partisanship.I find it harder, and harder to read the forum everyday...
Most of what I see are complaints, passive aggressive insults, and selfishness.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to make a video game?
Do you have any idea how many hours developers work to make deadlines? Just to be told nothing they ever do is good enough for you. Or done quickly enough for you.
These people that make the games you enjoy are HUMAN BEINGS. They aren't perfect. They aren't magical robots that can spit out the content you want overnight, and they can't possibly please everyone.
Please try to have a little respect for the amazing creative talent behind the games we play. If you think you can do so much better, or that creating a world, game mechanics, lore, fixing bugs etc is so easy, then please feel free to attempt to even get hired at a major game developer.
We can't keep treating creative talent like this, if it weren't for these people we wouldn't have any video games to play.
Belittling them, and trashing every attempt they make to please us is like booing your home football team, and expecting that to make them play better.
This post is a call out to my fellow gamers.
Please try to have some respect for the developers, and the incredibly demanding jobs they have. If you aren't happy with something in the game, or you have suggestions, try to make posts that are actually constructive. Your rants do nothing other than show off your tantrums.
Come on guys, we're better than this.
The people who are fine with this game are simply playing it and doing nothing more than enjoying their lives. They have no need to complain, and can discuss things with friends and guildmates while playing the game itself instead of resorting to forums that attract the worst in people. Because in the end, this is just a game and nothing more.
In order to cater to one's audience, one must understand it. Yoshi-P would be an idiot to believe that the forums show an accurate depiction of the community at large. However, the forums serve their purpose on occasion and forward-thinking discussion does happen. Those threads that get GM responses.

Do you pull this excuse on every single game reviewer that doesn't give a game max score as well?
I'm sure people would love to create the perfect game for themselves if they could. Problem is that it requires expertise (which can be "easily" gained with time) and then some more time to actually code the stuff into something workable. As we all know, time is a finite (and valuable) thing in our lives. Thus we have to settle with something that gets as close to the perfection we desire. But things are rarely so perfect, so instead of just jumping ship immediately, we stick around for a while and try to give suggestions on what would improve the game for ourselves. As you can see from the forums, everyone has widely differing ideas on what constitutes perfect class balance and what position craftsman should actually hold in MMO society. Some are polite, some are slightly lacking in that area. And it's only good that people speak up. Like Ghostcrawler said before he left Blizzard, he'd still prefer the angry and passionate players, rather than the ones who simply remain silent and apathetic (and seemingly happy). I'm sure a lot of people agree with him, though I'm sure I'll be chased by the pitchforks for mentioning WoW now.
However, I will agree that constructive criticism is far more preferable than just dumb raging. There's still a difference between "l0l Yoshi-P ur geim suxx0r so hard i played checkers wit ur mum yesterdayDDDDDDD" and "Oi, sucker, give me my group content outside of instances, you miserable cur!", even if they're both distinctly lacking in tact.
One wishes everyone could be civil at all times and remain composed through frustration with game mechanics, but I suppose it's just human nature that we have to deal with in the end.
@Kaiser Rage
Of course I have. But I don't go to the store I bought it, and tell them how they fail as chefs, and blatantly disrespect them just because I don't like their food.
stop readin' stupid threads
Lol good point, but you do take the food back right? And say you don't like it yes?OR ask for a refund or ask for something else?
Sadly in ff14 we cant ask for a refund, but we can let them know what we don't like and like many people here they are making suggestions on whats not good. Is not that similar to asking for something else? And as the chef/cook its their job to figure out what patrolns need. Just like at starbucks for 1st timers. They don't know what they want, they go inside asking for something sweet and milky. The barista should discern what they want. They are paying customers.
