    I wouldn't care for a pipe personally, but the idea of non-weapon items to hold would be nice. Musical instruments, flowers, pets, books, etc etc.

    I would love to have some non-combat items for role-playing and general socializing reasons. The game has prostitutes, beer, and dark humor so I doubt cigars will be a problem.

    Yeah, people could say that "this is casual BS I just wanna raid until I reach item lv5000 then quit the game because it carted to my linear-progression-or-die mindset and now the game is too easy as a result," and to them I say yes, it is casual. It's meant to be casual. And I love it.
