There's already a token system in place. It's called myth tomes. The items might have different stats but the main stats are the same, except the Allagan weapons.

This is one of the main problems with the loot system. Tokens for i90 gear shouldn't be coming from farming WP/AK, it should be coming from Coil for people with bad luck on RNG. Dungeon grind tokens should always be a tier behind the latest raid equivalent. This gives people an actual sense of accomplishment for raiding, instead of seeing every Joe with full i90 just for pressing the AoE button in WP.
If they had made Myth gear from tokens only from Coil, along with Allagan drops, and made CT equivalent token system, we'd have a pretty good system in place. This would make Myth gear actually valuable and interesting, keep Allagan special, and give people options for filler gear (i80) with their i90 pieces. I hope they move to some sort of system like this in the future, RNG is pretty "meh" these days, and should only be applied solely to farmable content; primals are a good example here.
Translation: Everything good should only be available to elitists who determine who even gets into Coil groups. If the developers even thought of implementing that system, SE would have gone under faster than the Titanic. Myth Tomestones, given the cap, are perfect where they are given. No one on this forum can help that some of you can't feel enough like gods among people because people who don't play 24/7 can make decent progress without genuflecting to folks who lost their perspective on life a long time ago. This is one of the main problems with the loot system. I'm not sure why you think you are entitled to the highest raid level gear just for spamming an i50 requirement dungeon (is it even that for WP?). It is not elitist at all to expect raid gear to be earned through raiding. Your incorrect labeling/mud slinging of me is really rather sad. I just do not take part in the entitlement generation of thinking that every gear should be handed to me. This does not make me, or other raiders elitist. It is the whole point of a game with raiding involved.Translation: Everything good should only be available to elitists who determine who even gets into Coil groups. Exactly who is acting entitled here? You and these other "raiders" (what an overinflated title that is) seem to want access to better gear walled off from those "dirty casuals" who have other things going on in their lives to be bothered with being enslaved by a Coil group for iLv 90 gear. What I see here is people with Goodyear Blimp-sized egos being upset by the fact less active players can earn good armor by saving Tomes earned through various activities (it's 2.1 now, update your talking points. People are doing Duty Roulette, Labyrinth of the Ancients, and other stuff for Myth Tomes) and can do Coil with their FC or Linkshell mates without needing to be part of some group led by a 14-year-old with a Napoleon Complex.
So just because you raid it means you have a giant ego? In addition, I've finished coil 1-4 with my original static since we were all in darklight / 1-2 i90 for months now. It never took us more than 1.5 hours to finish all four turns (with the exception of 1 hour learning t4). How does raiding for 1.5 hours every Monday mean we have less going on in our lives? Even recently just pugging it never took more than 2-2.5 hours to finish t1-4. This is with pugs that only have a ilvl requirement of i75.
My point is that coil has never been (and especially now with 450 myth cap) walled off to casuals. Heck, t1 and 'enrage' t2 is as casual as you can get. At the very least, the most casual players I know still do t1-2 every week in less than an hour.
You are quite the extremist. I'm not sure how the "raider" title is overinflated. It is literally who you are if you raid semi consistent. I'm not even sure how this turned into a "dirty casual vs. glorious raider" debate. It really isn't, and the system I suggested is still quite friendly to casual raiders (you know you can be both right..?). As I said before, our current Myth system should have been an i80 equivalent, philo being the simple i70 farm.Exactly who is acting entitled here? This gives people a sense of accomplishment for completing a raid. You can do all things in this game in i80, (if not i70) so I'm not sure how a casual, who doesn't even raid, is left out of things. Will they get i90 without raiding? No. That is the point of raiding. You get the best gear in game, by doing the hardest content in game. That is the only real reason you'd need the higher tier anyways.
Your insults are laughable though. Please continue on, it makes the ground you try to stand on even weaker. Or you could chill out, and realize there is room for reasonable discussion, and maybe even some middle ground in life.

Coil turns 1-4 isn't difficult. I had more difficulty getting my PLD relic on titan HM XD. Plus the only tank item not in turn 1-4 apart from the weapon is the hat. So gearing up a tank isn't hardcore, it's lolcore! (depending on RNG of course:P) Just because you have allagan on your WAR (our tanks from 2 clears have 4 pieces between them) from a not that difficult dungeon (t1-4). Just means RNG has been nice to you.
Two weeks running coil 1hourish 2 times a week and on turn 4 with a casual fc. Coil isn't "hardcore raiding" it's an 8 man dungeon XD
I still play Rift for raiding. 2x20 peep tier 1, 2 10 peeps tier1, 1 10 peep tier 2, 2x20 peep tier 2 dungeons.
