Just because they havn't added something now doesn't mean that they aren't working on it or talking about it.

If you said they should be more transparent with their overall roadmap of ARR for maybe the coming year, giving out more info of how they will improve the economy, value of crafting etc and other content. Then I would agree 110%.
Fair enough that there are examples of suggestions taken. My original point was more suited to generalizations (ie. that telling the devs what you do/don't like and how you think the game can be improved is better than saying nothing and just hoping they do good things). As far as specifics go, I felt that this wasn't the thread to delve into those, and it wasn't my intention to start soapboxing specific issues.

By "diehard FF fan", I assume you mean FFXI? Because no true FF fan would ever willingly have your belittling attitude.

So you are upset that SE is trying to get more people interested in the game? Even if only a few percent of people stick around, that is a success. Hell maybe some of my crafts will actually sell this weekend.

Probably would have helped if there were actually some houses in the housing districts for the free weekenders to check out instead of ghost towns.

They have an audience diffusion crisis at the moment with how the content is being handled. If they want the game to cater to the number crunching raiding hobbyist they are half way there with the current set up, and if they want to cater to the sight seer they are failing by walling bits of lore and story behind impenetrable content, such as Bahumuts coil (for them, not the raiders). To top it all off, they need to address the lack of development on the gathering and crafting, because while they did deal with the adventuring slump and leve quest grind on the adventuring side they left the other end out to dry. There's definitely developer passion somewhere behind the game, but it feels like it is getting muffled.

I will have to disagree. The devs are still actively taking our ideas and putting them in the game. The increase of penalty for leaving a duty was increased from 15 to 30 mins, something that was asked in these forums. The implemation of the in server party finder. The decrease cost of FC Housing. So yeah they are still listening.

You mean like DPS? (Which SE uses on its DPS Roles Forum name.)
Or aggro? (Which SE referrs to with the big 'A' for its aggro meter.)
Or rez? (See the name of the scholar/summoner rez skill.)
Or Pally for a Paladin nickname when chatting in mumble or game chat? (Sure not a formal SE abbreviation and I'll be glad to say pld instead as soon as I can figure out how to pronounce a nickname with no vowels.)

Actually, these terms are pretty generic mmo terms. I've never played WoW but have used them in other games.

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.

My advice for those interested in the origins of many of the terms and elements in MMO RPGs is to go back and take a look at the pen and paper scene. Maybe even buy up a few of the current popular pen and paper RPG games like Pathfinder. RPGs in general owe much of their development to the humble table top books, and even today MMORPGs can't compete with the sheer flexibility and creativity found in them.

I can not confirm or deny i spent my weekend Beta testing tESO . I can not say that the beta was really really REALLY good or not . I can not make the graphic and game play comparison to that of Skyrim . Because as i said i can not confirm or deny i had any involvement in the Closed Beta test of TESO .

But i think its more about WoW having a revamp of there Chr models and a new Expansion coming

    First you are NOT legacy.
Second you left because you probably tried this game because you were burned from WOW found out it wasn't as EASY as WOW and left.
Third you liked this version of the game because you feel most at home (WOW CLONE) and is as EASY as a 80's handheld game.

    Shall i continue?

Speaking for people thinking you know their intentions and motivations is dumb. This is a game. If he's having fun playing and he's paying the subscription because he's having fun: who cares?

Me thinks you've taken this game past being a game. Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to calm down.
