Yes, they were all attacking targets according to marking. They are all level sync'ed though, I wonder if that has to do anything with it. Yes, I used Heavy Swing before Skull Sunder. No offense taken, but I do have a Level 50 Paladin, I'd at least know that much about enmity combos

Yes a few levels makes a big difference early in the game.

It is actually tougher to maintain threat at lower levels. Once you get more tools (as you noted) it becomes a lot easier.

in tam tara, in fact through thousand maws even, i couldnt hold aggro unless i spammed BB. hang in there though, because it gets better! prehaps start with overpower, its got a lot of aggro loaded into an instant attack

Just go all out str, in low level dungeons you dont need HP. Its same as gladiator i need only 4x or 5x flash and then i just spam riot blade to get my mana back and noone can take my aggro even if everyone pick his own target cuz by the time i should lose aggro mobs are already dead. On war you do the same and you only need few overpowers and then just wait to get your TP back. Once you get defiance at 30 lvl its impossible to loose aggro.

Overpower all dae err dae! No but really, back to the Maim thing. Although its better to do your enmity combo for enmity, Main provides an boost to damage. A boost to damage = boost to enmity = boost to enmity from your enmity combo. Im not calling anybody stupid, just something to think about.

But, there are a lot of factors for holding aggro early : Did Healer heal too early? Do you have a HoT buff? Did a DPS attack before you? Is DPS attacking wrong target/AoEing, are they synched? Did you miss an attack?

Although Tanks are the class people like to point fingers at (but lack the balls to play it), not EVERYTHING is your fault.. MOST the time.

p.s. Overpower all dae err dae

    I pull like this:

    1) tomahawk marking macro (marks target I want focused + casts tomahawk)
    2) run into mob, past mobs, jump and turn so they are facing away from group.
    3) OP
    4) Heavy swing marked mob
    5) tab target to SS 2nd mob (bear in mind I am using a 2.5 sec wait macro for this)
    6) OP
    7) Heavy swing marked mob
    8) Maim 3rd/2nd mob
    9) Maintain as needed. If I am low on TP, I just autoattack and cast the occasional OP until my TP is where I want for the next chain pull.

Not appearing in this rotation is my current use of straight shot in my rotation, usually right after the jump/turn so that I have increased crit for the OP. This goes away once my lazy self levels the GLD up so I can go to WAR, which I am in no hurry to do since Roulette likes to put me in sastasha and copperbell almost always anyway (level 34).

I use fracture on bosses and slow-to-kill mobs. So when I am done with maim, I might fracture my 2nd/3rd target just to keep my damage rolling on them. To be honest, I don't use fracture that much unless on a boss fight. Simply not needed in general. At least, not up to my current level.

Since I got to 30, became a Warrior, and gained Defiance, it's like my aggro problems have disappeared into thin air.

2x Overpower gives me enough time to set up Maim on Target #1. After that, a single Butcher's Block combo generates so much aggro, I hardly see the DPS's aggro bar filling. Then I just auto attack for a bit, while I wait for my TP to recharge.

    It's a great feeling.
