Game development resource distribution should match players' activities.

Here's what I want to know: What do players in FFXIV spend time on?

It seems most reasonable to spend a corresponding amount of development resources creating content for each of the most popular activities.

Right now this is what I see:

Players spend 70% of their time playing PvE, while approximately 33% of resources are going into new PvE content.
Players spend 25% of their time crafting, while approximately 1% of the development is going into new crafting content.
Players spend 4% of their time playing PvP, while approximately 33% of resources are going into PvP balancing.
Players spend 1% of their time on housing, while approximately 33% of resources are going into this feature.

Feel free to post your idea of what percentages should be allocated to development of each of the in-game activities.

Well I suggest you get right on that high school education then because not only didn't I offer any statistics, speculations or estimations, the OP did, however most replied disdainfully and rudely. While your elaboration was meant to belittle and insult it fell short of the mark and showed only your inability to communicate on a social level. The OP deserves to be able to create a thread and have people respond appropriately, not have people take an obviously aggressive stance that they wouldn't dare to do face to face.

Let me be clear. I have no idea what players actually do with their playtime, nor what resources are being allocated to what development.

Firstly, I am asking the question: What do players do with their playtime? Surely this data is available to SE.

Secondly, my guesses regarding content development resource allocation are based on the released Patch 2.1 content, and what issues the developers have stated they are currently working on, along with the descriptions of content that has been stated will be coming next.

Perhaps someone would like to use this thread to discuss the allocation of development resources?

If you do not feel that resource allocation should match players actual in-game activities, I'd like to hear why.

- Crafters, who absolutely make up more than 1% of the game, should be getting more than nothing.
- Do way more people play PvP than I know of? I know one FC member that plays PvP.

Game devs use statistics A LOT when making new content and balancing old content. How do you think they decide when to nerf or buff something? No, the QQ on here doesn't actually work.

Also Dev teams are usually split up to take on different tasks. For example, there is a team working on PvP and a seperate team that works on PvE. No, it is not as simple as taking a person from one team and making that person work on another team.
