Account-wide Armoury Bonus please!

TBH though, the armory system would have been better implemented on this game as account wide. So you could level all jobs to 50 then just pick an alt. So you could raid BCB on tank on character A, and go healer on Character B.

Then they should have made them share the same 2 retainers and auction house listings. Make it based on last name and make last names unique.

E.g give everyone 5 bags of inventory and make it so bag 6 can only hold gear and bag 6 and the armory are account wide, same retainer storage for all characters.

Imo, if you have a class to level 15, it should be automatically 15 when you make a new character. That way you can focus leveling a class up and don't have to level all the cross class again except to 26 and 33 etc.

Leveling blm to 26 when I have one at 50 on my main, and arcanist to 33 is the only reason my Alt isn't 50 yet. I really dread leveling blm to 26 again lol and don't even want to think about eye for an eye. So I'll be a level 50 whm without eye for an eye for a long time.

With all the gear/time lockouts, SMN/SCH sharing additional stat points, and people maybe just wanting to play as a different race for funsies, I'm not surprised people might want to try out a second character. Or a third even. I don't see how this would affect anyone else drastically. Sure, why not.

I consider being able to walk around in a different face the ultimate advantage of having multiple characters, and the price to pay is having to level up everything you want from scratch.

I don't want account-wide experience bonuses; because otherwise everyone will be walking around with alts.

Fire the game back up and log on your alt, your main will still be logged on and you can send your main a friend request.

Log back on your main and finish or leave the dungeon and accept the friend request. Now you can mail to yourself.

Resolved Issues

Now, my suggestion may not work for the big, devoted FCs, but I made a small one, and invited all my alternate characters in it, along with my two friends and their alts. that way we can use the FC chest to send stuff to our characters freely. I just wish there was a way to send Untradable stuff too!

Well, they might have fixed it so you can't do it anymore, but I still can, grandfather clause!

WoW has account level progression in that if you do stuff on one character all your other characters share the same mounts and pets. You max one character you unlock armor to level the others faster. They can add account level stuff if they wanted to for FFXIV since other games do it.

Because its not already stupid easy to level alt classes. Heirlooms were a bloody joke in WoW. Good luck trying to Tank as a fresh character in a group full of Heirlooms, even in solid dungeon blues, they don't match up to Heirloom gear. Especially when you hit the expansion level cutoffs.
Oh and level via PvP as a fresh player against all the twinks with PvP Heirlooms? Lol, my 19 Rogue with 2 shot backstabs + Shadowstep would like a word with you.

Leveling multiple characters is a choice, Just like leveling multiple Jobs. Its encouraged for you to play all on one character. As an altaholic, i plan to have one of every race with Jobs at 50. But theres no need nor benefit to doing it, Nor is there a need for SE to waste time making things to facilitate easing it.
