    Account-wide Armoury Bonus please!

I know this game implicitly encourages playing one and only one character.

However, I for one LOVE to get into the fantasy of multiple cultures/genders/races, and the current system partially discourages it.

I've got my Mi'qote main whom I love... but I felt practically forced (from a semi-casual's perspective) to shelve lil Jephrys Whisperwind due to how inefficient it is.

I understand both sides (two characters, two sets of daily roulettes/tome-caps)... but I think this one simple change would sell me on dusting off lala Jephrys. As well, I don't have a lot of time in my week to double-cap/double-dailies/double-roulette, so this tiny differential in my secondary's 1-50 would really make a difference in my mind.

I don't think it's a lot to ask, and it would only truly affect each next characters' first 1-50.

    So... please SE?

    BONUS: also, account-wide Armoire plox!

That makes absolutely no sense - they are different characters and should not influence each other.

If you want such game-breaking advantage, ask for a free character with lvl 50 on all classes and full ilvl90 equipment, then...

    Game-breaking... laughable haha.

Sorry, but that's honestly really funny to me.

Honest reply, a bonus 50% experience to fates/monster kills on your secondarys' initial high-level class/job isn't asking a lot...

    Like, much at all.

Yes, they are separate characters, so looking through that lens it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But this' more in regard to account-progression & MILDLY assisting casuals in experiencing/fulfilling other fantasies.

    Heres how this would go.

Player: "My I'm having a tough time making money today. Oh I know. I'll start a second character and use that wonderful armory bonus to level up quicker. Considering it only took a week to do it the first time it won't take very long at all since it will be 50% faster this time. I'm going to make a mint off the quest rewards!"

    What's your account level?

There's no such thing as an "account-progression".

I'd much rather an account-shared retainer/chest for that armor I just dread to farm again >.<

WoW has account level progression in that if you do stuff on one character all your other characters share the same mounts and pets. You max one character you unlock armor to level the others faster. They can add account level stuff if they wanted to for FFXIV since other games do it.

Wow, you sure nit-picky aren't you? Lol.

I would describe account-progression as an idea or concept, not so much a 'thing'... if I have 2 50's, a 23, & a 10--I would say I've progressed "that much" on my account as a whole.

It works for other things too like achievements, gear, & so on (e.g. my 50's are all i90 or I've earned the "explored the entire world" achievement on this one toon).

Imo, if you have a class to level 15, it should be automatically 15 when you make a new character. That way you can focus leveling a class up and don't have to level all the cross class again except to 26 and 33 etc.

Leveling blm to 26 when I have one at 50 on my main, and arcanist to 33 is the only reason my Alt isn't 50 yet. I really dread leveling blm to 26 again lol and don't even want to think about eye for an eye. So I'll be a level 50 whm without eye for an eye for a long time.

WoW also limits you to one class per character, so it makes more sense in that system. With FFXIV letting you level every class with one character, this would be an entirely pointless addition.

Honestly though, if you're that determined to level an alt then just do it. Why do you care about armory bonuses, since creating a new character means having access to every quest anew. If you really want to level quickly, then just do what you're going to have to do anyway -- play the game. By the time you've finished the story (necessary to unlock 'endgame') you'll have your level 50 armory bonus anyway.
