Why even make it a Duty Finder?

I've been running PUG groups with Ultima HM and Titan HM and see that they even added Garuda Extreme. With that being said most of these groups are to say the least hard to communicate with. When I que up for a Ultima HM I ask if everyone knows fight and noone says a thing. We get to ship faze everyone wipes then 2 or 3 speak up. My question is if instances like Coil are kept off Duty Finder for a reason, then why not these team work communicative runs?

Titan HM isn't exactly communicative. It's on DF because the fights aren't the hardest raid content available. The only reason you probably see Coil as easier than EM now is that strategy has not been well known yet (there are people that just started on EM primals and Ultima HM).

Just started both actually, including Garuda I haven't even beat. I'm asking why do to nobody not wanting to speak most of the time.

Because more often than not the party will disband in 5 minutes.

Most of the time, that question is linked with kicking people or party dispersion.

Instead of asking such an intimidating question right off the bat. I assign out roles and duties quickly on top of briefly running thru the encounters. If I appear less intimidating to people or appear immediately to be more accommodating to those new to encounter, these players feel more comfortable in telling me they don't know the fights very well. This increases my odds of successfully completing the encounter because I now know who can do what and who can't and give out the necessary information to get mechanics handled properly. Does not guarantee successful runs but definitely increases my chances of one.

Coming out bluntly and firstly with,"Who doesn't know this fight" is fairly intimidating if not too intimidating.

Sorry but there are Duty Finder Groups that get the job done. I got my first relic (titan HM) win in a Duty Finder took my 46 tries but I got it. I've done Garuda EM in DF and got a win. The problem is you get people that enter that are geared to the min or you get a group of people who are geared, Then you have that one person in the party that gets butt hurt after the first wipe and leaves.

A vast majority of Duty Finder groups are pretty quiet. I'm not sure exactly why but I wouldn't be surprised if some of it is out of fear for being yelled at for not magically knowing all of the strats before hand.

Some people may be on a console as well without a keyboard (which boggles my mind) so that could be an issue as well.

Couldn't agree more and it is super frustrating using the DF. I was just doing a Ultima EX run and some dude decides to throw a fit and quit. "You guys need more practice" and so on its like what the hell do you think we are doing in the DF. These people are getting so tired if your so good then get your good little group together and do it with them and quit ruining stuff for everyone because you wanna speed run it. New people can't go shouting in Mor Dhona because they are sure to be ignored.

This is so common now I feel so sorry for new players as time after time they get crapped on over and over its tiresome watching it at this point. Just sat in DF for 55 minutes to have some person waste my time.

I treat DF as my practice grounds. Anything new, I jump in to DF and try it out. I think it's silly to treat DF as a viable way to get your kills for harder content as you can never know who you will end up with. You may luck out and magically join a static that just needs to pug that 1-2 extra members or you may get 7 other random people with 5 of them being there for the first time.

Also, to answer the original question of why these things are in DF, it's so you can quickly and easily get a group into them as they don't have any form of lockout like coils which would cause problems in DF. This also bypasses the need to enter from the portal location (like coils). It has nothing to do with how hard content is or whether PUGs can actually complete it, it's purely a convenience that people would cry about if it weren't there.

If you don't want to use the duty finder, then use party search or shout for a party instead.
