How much longer do we have to wait for Transfers?

Recently I have been wanting to transfer my legacy character to one of the New servers due to that I been wanting to play with my RL friends there instead of reworking on another character.

I wonder how much longer does this one have to wait to be able to do so and enjoy the game more?

It will be reviewed again in six months, not changed. But who knows, their time table changes all the time.

Probably going to have to wait until housing sales have leeched enough money out of the Legacy economies for them to feel it won't be disastrous to mix all that money into the other servers. So, yeah, at least six months; probably a bit longer, as they'll want to wait until housing prices reach their minimums (nine weeks from housing release) and the housing rush has had a chance to simmer a bit.

No matter how they slice it, it's going to be rough on the non-legacy servers. Folks who are only modestly wealthy on Legacy will see they can be among the top wealthiest players on other servers. More than a few will be tempted to move for that reason alone, and it won't take long for inflation to skyrocket. I have a Legacy friend waiting to join us on Gilgamesh, and as much as I want to see him, I'm not looking forward to my money becoming worthless.

The gil on legacy servers means nothing when transfering. You can only take so much gil with you.. and ofcourse the obvoius way around that in items.. again only so much.. and most economies are dead atm.. so saying its because of the amount of gil on the servers is false.

Gil means nothing anyway except for sinks like housing. I think the most money I've spent on anything was to power my crafting and get some gear made, but that was only like 20k and I made it back with a handful of quests and reselling the extra stuff.

I honestly don't understand why they worry about the economy so much when all real endgame gear and items come from either BoP drops or a grind vendor, when the starter gear is so easy to make, when any and all consumables can be made so easily, when crafting is useless and so easy to level, when money falls from the sky, when there's no real sink, and when everything can be done on one character. At this point I'm convinced Gil is just in the game because every game has a currency.I personally have like 250k at not even 44 and can't find things to spend it on.

for players on legacy servers ,makes no sense wasting millions on a house ,if u want to trasfer to a new server , save that gil and when transfer are avaliable move and buy a house on your new server...

You can only carry over a max of 3(?) million when you transfer... I don't quite follow the logic on preventing transfers for economy related reasons...

luckily I don't have millions of gil on me.. I always am at 200k on my person and onlu 50k is in my retainer but yeah.... I did not see the post about evaluation after 6 months but thanks for the responses.

i think we should have a free transfer period when the legacy -> non-legacy transfer begins. Since when we had a free transfer period, we couldn't transfer to a non-legacy server.
