Weekly content for the less hardcore

    Greetings,
I think I can categorize myself as a hardcore player, whenever I have the chance I might play 10hours++.
Right now I'm in a static where we spend 2-3 days a week about 3 hours raiding and we just finally cleared t5 yesterday.

Thing is, it is very understandable that people do have stuff to attend to and as more and more content is being added I wonder if eventually it would be pretty overwhelming for an entire week? You have CT, daily beastmen, Coil, primals.. Soon there's going to be levi xm, and probably shiva xm, probably another one for a guaranteed i95 weapon or accessory just so it finishes the trilogy, and coil turn 6.. And then when another next patch hits there'd be even more(new CT turns..)!

How do you guys think about this? Will you be completing everything? With all the training required (twintania took us 6 weeks >_< all that tasty loot) I'm starting to think I might get overwhelmed, I'd be very disappointed if let's say i couldn't beat titan by monday or get a good enough group that's well coordinated. I'm a collector, I collect all green unique loot since sastasha-coil, and I plan to eventually catch em all..

Dude, even "less hardcore" in this game would mean literally giving you the gears as soon you log in.

I'm sorry, I think you missed my point.. I wasn't asking for a weekly content to be made for the less hardcore, I was wondering how you guys that have less time to spare but are very passionate about the game cope with it, IE you don't want to get behind but have limited play time.

The devs must really love this post. Someone complaining that there is too much to do in a mmo, I don't even.

My friend, the content in this game is designed so that you will have something to do until the next major patch. Not to finish within two weeks and then stand with nothing to do as per most mmos this day and age.

I can't do everything in a single day, since I am now back to work (how I miss thee, December break).

In any case, I just have a list of priorities I try to follow and complete by the end of the day.

    It goes like this:
    - DR high for mythos (once capped, not so much of a priority)
    - DR low for training my Marauder (once Myth is capped, this becomes the #1 priority)
    - Gathering treasure map (I don't have to use it immediately, but I have at least a 2 days leeway before I am finally forced to go complete the Peisteskin map)
    - Beastmen dailies (if not finish them then, at least accept the quest and do it the next day, so as not to waste the allowances)

I'm finding it hard to even spend time to help FC mates, or even get back on my dungeon spiritbonding runs. The weekend is usually when I start to chase more goals.

Like any mmorpg, you don't have to do all content each week. Granted, this game progression is linear as fuck, but it's not like beating Ifrit exe every week makes you stronger or anything.

I honestly don't care if i'm "behind" anyone else. All i care about is having fun. What i tend to do is grab dailies from one tribe, run guildhest on lower class, then low level dungeon on same, depending on how fast that went, i either do the dailies (if i haven't done them while waiting), or log out. When i come back, i run main story on my main class, if i haven't gotten a CT drop, i'll try to do that. There are some days i have more time, so i might run a HM primal, extra CT, work on crafting or gathering, but i never worry about being behind anyone else. If i'm making progress on anything, and having fun, which sometimes is just goofing around, i'm good.

See when they add Levi and Shiva and more turns and whatnot the OLD turns/primals become inferior so if you are up to date on your gear then you aren't doing EVERYTHING, by the time they come out you should be pretty much done with the old content and trying to down the new. Especially in terms of primals since there is only 9 weapons to get so give it 2 months and there is no point in doing Ifrit/Titan/Garuda again.

..I deal with it by not doing mindlessly repetitive stuff.

I like the game, but I don't bother doing dailies- I hated them in WoW, they aren't better here.

I don't bother with myth caps, because running the same dungeons over and over is mindless and repetitive.

I've done the new stuff... I am from an older era of gaming where the game had lots of fun stuff to do with variety... or if you did grind, it was a social event, where you were with people from your server and got to know them while you grinded- not a DF spamfest with silent strangers that offered no social opportunities.

So, yeah. I'm pretty much done with the current content- but can't wait for something new...and by new I mean actually new -not re-hashed or another theme park dungeon instance.

The ironic thing is that the more skilled your group (and therefore more hardcore to use a word I hate) the less time you need to set aside to get content done. 1-5 and em primals is a 2 hour one night a week job for my static, while if you were casual you'll be sitting in wineport all night looking for people who don't fail at t4.
