What kind of real estate does 10m+ get you on Hyperion? A fancy cardboard box.

So someone finally built a small house on our world, and I checked it out. While a medium house is actually pretty good, the small house is about the size of a large cardboard box. Even an XI mog house or inn room is bigger. Even when you can do something useful with housing, good luck fitting it inside there. What's worse? Nearly 2/3 of the land plots are size small. I cant imagine anyone wanting one, so what's going to happen (eventually) is there is going to be FC wars over the medium plots as they all fill up in each ward.

Save your gil, get a medium or don't get one at all. Small isn't worth it at any price (except possibly personal housing, but I would expect that not to take up the same housing wards). put a couch or a bed in it and that's it, anything more and you won't be able to move without tripping over a furnishing.

Yeah I just checked that out today, needless to say I felt at home in a Lalafell sized shack.

It's really not that small. They had a small when I checked it. There's an upstairs, downstairs and ground floor. I actually like the small more than the large.

Unless they upgraded it to medium but it was still saying it was small, small is bigger than the XI mog house system.

On Hyperion, there is a Medium Size house in Gridania since 2 week at least. Shyluv may talk about this one.

And Small sized house just CAN'T be something for FC housing even for full Lalafell FC.

Yeah. I was talking about the medium. Turns out for me it says they are all small while it loads the information. I teleported too fast to notice and give it a chance to load.

If they actually let us buy more than one house per FC, like they said they might, I can sort of see the use for the smaller houses. Have your little beach shack in Limsa, a small hunting lodge in Gridania and then your palatial mansion in Ul'Dah.

Was kind of hoping they went TARDIS style bigger on the inside when it came to small housing, but alas, it is exactly as you described it. I thought about it too, and it's possibly what's going to happen once FC's savings and the prices of medium plots start to reach similar levels: people buying up all the medium plots like you said. But that's probably why we don't see many houses bought yet, as most people are holding out for medium plots. And then the next complaints we'll be seeing won't involve just the cost of housing but also the availability of adequately sized plots (i.e. Any size other than small)

I really think they should just make the small plots individual housing and let FCs have the Medium and Large plots.

I was in a small and there was a bed and about 10 places to sit (sofa + chairs, and around a table). It was quite cozy, though. It would probably seem very cramped with 15 in there. I think small house size should have been 1 medium floor or two slightly bigger small floors. It's unbelievable how much larger a medium is (3 floors!) than a small (1 floor).
