Titan Extreme mode - no melee allowed. Thx SE.

After starting my endeavor to beat Titan on extreme mode, a goal I set for myself after I cheated my way through Titan HM the first time out of sheer impatience( These days Titan HM is a joke, could do it blind folded) I simply wanted to feel what everyone else felt when they finally beat it legitimately for their first time in a pug, then things like this started happening.



I myself am a Melee dps main, I'm actually unsure of why this is happening, but...it is. And its Bull!@#$


I thought this stuff was going to be over after Garuda and her stupid mechanics but I guess I was wrong, melee dps will always be gimped and sub-tier to ranged dps.

Why do I pay for this game

Inb4 "Make your own group" - I can/have been, no one can down this fight, I haven't got hit by a landslide/plume in the last 10 hours, I have been at Titan Ex nonstop.

In my experience though, Dragoon is one of the highest DPS in Titan Ex.

i cleared my first titan ex yesterday after spending 10 hours on it on friday. the one i cleared had a dragoon in party that made the ad phase very short and sweet. cleared it in record time too. keep trying, u'll eventually get paired up in a decent party

I spent all weekend trying to parse myself in titan EX on BLM to keep up with drg/mnk. I can do it pretty reliably now. 220-ish dps sustained.

Soz, which part of "If all are equally geared and skilled against Titan Ex" did you miss?

Plus, 200-220 is da norm kind sir ^^. MNKs can crush it with mush less efforts than BLM in this fight. Same as Twintania, SMNs can't be touched. We have our fights, and other have theirs. I parse 375+ in Garuda Ex for example while Melee can only hope to dodge wicked wheel.

That is just a stupid group. The PT leader doesn't know how to play is all.
Melee is best in Titan, I always intent to have at least 2 melee there for fast kill.

if you're going to make a "THX SE" thread about X modes, at least pick the right one

garuda X is the fight to ignore all melee, and i'm not sure i'd ever want more than one on ifrit although i'm sure it works

...but titan? melee are great on that fight
