    Party Finder Experience.

I'll start by saying I love the Party Finder. I much prefer playing with people on my own server that I can be-friend and later run with them again if they were good.

However, "IF" is the keyword there.

I often see these groups with a comment like "EXP Only, FAIL = KICK", so I decide to join them because I have experience and I'm a relatively good player (at least, I'm usually never the reason for a wipe regardless of the role I'm playing). My experience is, however, that they're just as bad as the people I run into in the DF. I imagine what's happening is people see this and think they can join a group of good players and get carried.

What's everyone else's Party Finder experiences like? I'm on Moogle so maybe all our good players already have static groups maybe? I can't even get past Garuda EM because all the PF groups suck and my FC is small (could join a bigger one but I have friends here so that's not an option).

Not here to complain, just want to see how everyone else is enjoying (or not enjoying) the Party Finder.

Here's a link to a bunch of rotation and DPS numbers I wrote up to try help BLM see they aren't as weak as they might think.

    "Farm" = I need a clear.
"Need at least 2 primal weapons" = everyone over react on the first mistake and disband.

There is all kind of D-bags posting with no patience and that's fine. I find PF to be great, easy to use and find players. The real trick is when you find like minded/skilled players is to stay in touch, makes life much easier and brings a lot of different FC's together to pool resources. I have to say though, it IS a two way street. So many people lie to get into parties expecting to get carried and a lot of the snobbery may stem from general interactions of such.

I avoid any party finder that writes anything I wouldn't put in there. I don't wanna stress myself
And stuff like FAIL=KICK is one of those.

I refrain from joining parties with aggressive comments because there is just so much potential for drama there. If the party leader wrote his comment in a firm -non aggressive- manner & I have full trust in my abilities I join. FAIL = KICK groups are just a no go for me.

My experiences haven't been perfect but the players were thankfully really good & nice, we are all friends now!

I don't think that people enter those groups expecting to be carried. But people needs to win exp somewhere, so... Either you find or build a practice party for a specific phase, or you watch a video, learn the pattern, and join a "exp" party ... And if you do the last one, chances for a fail the first times are good. (Because you can not practice latter phases of hard phases on Duty Finder)

But if you join one party that says "1 fail = Kick" you shoud just be patient. Keep replacing players till you get a group of players with exp.

Anyway my experience is way better on PF that in DF, and I'm on Moogle. Last night I entered as a tank, with an alter, Duty Finder for Garuda EM (As I never had it done before as a tank, I wanted to give it a first practice there). Tank pulled (The other tank ) and in the first wave attack of Garuda 1 DPS go out of rocks too soon and die. He says "Oops, sorry, won't happend again". We go on a minute or so and Garuda hides again and makes another wave attack,, another guy dies, 1 guy disconect, another guy disconect, another guy disconect.... That's what I saw of EM primals on Duty Finder.

Most partys for Garuda EM in our server will get it done if you stay with them some time, and you can find a farming group if you are patient enought to spend 30-40 min building that farming group.

But of course you can't expect Party Finder to be something like "Oh, "Garuda EM farming group, only exp", I'm sure that only people with exp will join and we'll be farming since minute one" In you are looking for one you shoud join the group, and if the leader of the group knows the fight and is not the problem, wait till you find 8 players that know it. And expect a few wipes in the middle.

And comunication is a good thing. I mean, anyone can fail once,a group shoud not be disbanded for that...

@OP With the PF notes specifying experience need only apply, ask them when you start, what they mean by experience, so you can be certain you are okay.

I'm willing to stay, but when the tanks rage at the fact a DPS got hit by the blast before going into the Spiny Plume dome and leave straight away and then everyone else leaves the group, it gets frustrating. I think I'm getting really unlucky on Moogle because I've joined several different groups and tried creating my own to no avail.

But yeah, I guess I should stop joining Fail = Kick parties. I did find a really good Coil party this week that did 1-3 pretty well (I even got 2 pieces of loot for my main class), but anything else I've had horrible luck with.

I was really bummed when people weren't using it after the update, but I'm glad to see it being used now. Its so hard to get Titan wins no matter how good you are at it, if you can't find a party that is as well. Sometimes my FC doesn't need any help with anything so its fun to be able to see someone needing help with titan, chimera, etc and just jump into one of the empty slots. Now...if only we could use it to get 24 people for CT.

PF has overall been a good addition to the game but it could be better. I don't join farming runs or PFs with high gear requirements, so I don't have an opinion on those. I join PFs for people who are trying to complete relics, people who are learning fights, people who need help completing dungeons, and PFs where the gear requirements are reasonable.

I've had a couple good groups with great people. I've also had groups give up just as quickly as DF does. PF helps with the problem of people joining the wrong type of group, but not as well as I hoped.

Part of the problem is some people don't read the PF description. People say things like "I thought this was a farming run" or they quit after the first failure when the PF said "training run, be ok with dying and trying again".

Well, I don't think that 1 fail = Kick is that bad. Party leader put his rules, you like them, you join, you don't like them , you don't join.
It's just that I personally think that everyone can fail once...

I saw worse things, like "ONLY EXP, NO RETARDS", wich is offensive and probably reportable
