It just seems really dull to me.
You got this one set of gleaming silver metal with golden accents and white/grey coloring on the cloth. It felt balanced and thoughtfully designed.

But then the valor set comes along with its dim stark white painted metal and overly bold blue cloth. Like it was just designed to just loudly tell everyone you have a valor set.

I really miss the more natural direction the art had.

yup , i prefer the galliant over valor ....the white on the boots gloves make the gear looks ugh....

i loved that set in FFXI...

Foestriker, Cavalry, Infantry (dat mancleavage), Battlemage, more or less all the Artifact sets (except Monk/Scholar, and I do prefer the more vibrant colours of the Myth variant for White Mages...), all the Crystal Tower sets (but especially Fuuma!), Darklight gear for the physical DPS (though the tank set would be fine without the damn helmet) aaaand the high level crafting sets, along with a healthy dose of Patrician's stuff.
