I know I've done well over 100 Boarskin maps and have yet to get the Wind-Up Tonberry minion. I've seen 2 Bluebird minions drop in our FC runs and I was lucky enough to get one of them. I want that Tonberry!

I've done at least 100 Toadskin maps and haven't seen one drop of Rush grass. There are 7 up on the marketplace at 180k each. IIRC the ONLY item in the ENTIRE game that uses this is a housing item, why make it so difficult to get?

I also did around 250+ Boarskin maps on my own before I got the tonberry. Maps were super cheap on my server until the last update. Now they are 40k a pop. Doesn't seem very well thought out imo.

I want the tiny bulb minion but never get the toadskinmap always the boarding or peistskin and I can't afford to buy maps so it's a pain lol. When I get my Fisher to 50 hopefully it'll be easier.

You can just ignore the maps and wait for another to appear.

sell the boar/peiste and buy a toadskin with that money, they are usually cheaper then the other 2

Should note that fishing maps are not random. If you are not getting toadskin maps from fishing, you are fishing in the wrong spot. Each spot has a specific map you can get from it, and no other map will ever be fished up there. From 2.1 patch notes:

Timeworn Leather Map: Level 40 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes.
Timeworn Goatskin Map: Level 45 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes.
Timeworn Toadskin Map: Level 50 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes (South Umbral Isles and Rathefrost only)
Timeworn Boarskin Map: Level 50 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes (Reaver Hide and the Tangle only)
Timeworn Peisteskin Map: Level 50 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes (Lake Tahtotl, Parata's Peace, and the North Shards only).

So if you want Toadskins, you need to fish at South Umbral Isles or Rathefrost. No other fishing spot will give them, and no other maps will be fished up at these two spots.

Unhidden Leather Maps can also give Dress Materials. I forget if they can give other treasure-map-only items, but they can definitely give that one.
