What... on Behemoth (primal) my CT dps queues are 50-60 minutes with an additional 20+ because of this crap, so yes, I wait roughly 80 minutes unless i queue with other people :\
I've tried doing this and it's not very efficient. in progress groups are pretty rare it seems and you're better off just doing the instance.
Hmm, you know, that's possible. I've left as a replacement on a full party with no penalty. No drama to report, something came up in life with bad timing. But I have left a party that got a replacement, where I was in the original party, because the person who left/replacement wasn't the problem. And I did get the penalty. I should note, this was before 2.1, when the penalty was 15 mins, so perhaps things have changed? I haven't done this since.Wrong.
Done it plenty of times as tank. Fished an in-progress group, found they couldn't down the boss so I left instead of wasting time. I could always queue right away again.
Perhaps the penalty only applies to the original members but not the rep? Dunno, but my tank never gets the penalty as rep.
How does this fix anything? I start a party and sign up, I don't click Join in progress. Someone else clicks join in progress, and they spam spam spam until they get "Join in progress 0/1". they dont care what boss its on, they just want one in progress. And we have to suffer through that.Hello all,
As you know, when joining in progress for the Crystal Tower, the system displays the progress of the raid when attempting to join runs in progress. For example, "Progress: 1/4".
However, this will be adjusted for the Crystal Tower to always show the progress as 0/1 in patch 2.15.
It will help a bit, but not much, i find it to be a bandaid at most.
With this patch, i will just click "Join in progress" and withdraw 24/7 until I see "Join in progress 0/1", i dont care what boss its on, i just want one in progress as its likely to be further than a fresh run. And those who want a fresh run will suffer through me spamming withdraw.
Does not fix the issue, completely stupid patch.

This isn't really going to fix much without hiding it entirely, not just for CT either.Hello all,
As you know, when joining in progress for the Crystal Tower, the system displays the progress of the raid when attempting to join runs in progress. For example, "Progress: 1/4".

There's a reason you don't see this information in other MMO's.
After reading this thread and talking to some people a few times, There might be something we're missing. There's a chance when Hvinire said "always show the progress as 0/1" he may have meant ALL instances, even fresh ones. I'm thinking not likely, but it is a possibility.
it's not a temporary fix. At least, that's not what they said. I don't see how it could possibly be that hard for the matching system, when looking at potential candidates for a party, to see: "Join in progress flag checked. Do not match this player to this group."Probably because changing a little text on the screen is a lot easier and less time consuming than changing how a feature actually works. They probably don't even really need to test this temporary fix much at all. Changing how the feature works will require them testing extensively, and perhaps that are doing so now in their test environment.
it's a ruidmentary if-then clause.
THE SOLUTION: TAKE AWAY JOIN IN PROGRESS, MAKE ALL QUEUES GO INTO EITHER, NO MORE CONFIRM, IF YOU QUEUE FOR IT, YOU'RE GOING IN, NO CANCELING. MAKE DAMN SURE YOU WANT IN BEFORE YOU QUEUE.
THE VOTE KICKS NEED TO BE REMOVED, ITS HIGHLY ABUSED I GOT KICKED FOR NOT KICKING, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
All the different aspects of DF and PF and all this exploits are bit by bit making FF14 a "Queue to Wait, Wait to Queue" game.
Making FF14 slowly get more and more boring and annoying. Something has to change. Hope SE realises that and actually does something.
Here is to hope. Cheers![]()
This still wont solve the queuing withdrawing for other dungeons....
