I always assumed the comments were simply playful/meant to be funny. Let's not beat around the bush here - most of the people posting in these sort of threads are quite blatantly showing off how attractive their character happens to be. Sometimes shirtless, or dressed in skimpy gear or in positions deliberately captured to show it off. It doesn't strike me as surprising that suggestive comments would be posted in response from time to time...
