fish market dead or on last leg....also trickle down effect

i keep my eyes on the fish market & most of the sellable fishs are so low that its not worth catch,examples are mahi mahi,silver sharks.good for buyers(buyers market)has this affected culinary?..................i dont about the directness of gathering & mining markets effect is besides crystals

Well, I have always followed the market board closely to maximize my income and I have to say, every market is suffering right now unless you are a buyer. You can still make money but you just don't make what you used to. I see materia I used to sell for 100k+ now sitting between 5-17k, ore is ridiculously cheap because it is so easy to farm, same goes for everything gathered. Even crafted items are stupidly low compared to what they were. Crystals, dont even get me started on crystals and shards, we all know how cheap those buggers are now.

I feel sorry for people who just dont have the kind of time and patience I do because if someone like me is struggling, sure as hell they are having a harder time.

Every day I check the market board and when I find an item worth selling and go get it, by that afternoon 15 other people have caught on and done the same and the market on that item is crushed again. Too many selling, not enough buying, simple.

I normally myself farm Blacklip Oysters and Red coral, And its gotten to the point its just not becoming worth it. Were i use to net a good 20-30k per time spent out in the isles. I now maybe if im lucky make 15k in like 4 days. I wish that people understood what undercutting really does to the market. I understand you want to make your money and sell your stuff quick but for the sake of everyone being able some sort of money DO NOT UNDERCUT by 4-500 Gil we all just lose so much money.

Yeah true that, you only need to undercut by 1gil, no need to crush the market just because you want a quick sale. These days its highly likely someone else is going to uncut your stupidly low price again by another 40gil, who will be undercut heavily by another until everyone is making crap gil. All I see is a bunch of people who never get a REALLY good gil turn over simply because they are more worried about making anything at all, fast, rather than taking the time to make decent profit. I generally leave crowded items alone until the prices get higher, it's just not worth it for me and I am sure many others.

If people want to kill their income, go for it, I wont compete to stupid low amounts and I still make around 200k a day most days. I don't sell for the sake of a quick buck, I sell smart and take my time, in the end it pays off and my retainers are always stacked with stuff to sell because I am not offloading EVERYTHING for stupidly low amounts.

Just seems logical to me.

I use to farm red coral and fullmoon from the isles but like u said.its almost not worth it.i just biy low and resell.my fishing ls's are almist dead

You wanna make gil fishing? fish up the items that people use to turn in for leves... Fish up the HQs more often then not people are too lazy to fish it themselves and will just buy them. i know i did.. control the market for that in a reasonable fashion and you will be in for some good gils

aye sadly my LS is dying out aswell. the hylian loach just aint what it used to be
