How to FIX the MW system.

I will say first off that I do dislike the current system, but only because of the amount of time it takes to sell anything.

First one must look up the price for the item they wish to sell, then summon their retainer, transfer said item, then set price, repeat process 6 to 13 more times and you have probably just wasted an hour at the least selling things.

Now when said like this it doesn't sound all that bad, but then realize that all your actions take 2-5 seconds for the server to register, so it's a big headache to sell anything. I've taken to selling my random junk to NPCs now and that's almost as slow but at least it's out of my inventory.

So first off Square, please fix that UI lag.
Next simplify the retainer UI, "Exchange Items" and "Manage Bazaar Contents" should be merged.
Lastly, when setting the price on your item there should be an option to "Check Price" to see what other are selling for.

Please implement something similar to this so that I will no longer dread setting up my bazars.

We can go to a text based centralize system, but it'll just sound too much like an auction house.

UI lag though is more of a problem with the fact you're selling such a large volume...most MMOs have UI lag but it's "hidden"

A better method would be to have a "cache" follow by and ok/cancel option.(drag everything to the buy/sell window, then accept, and it processes everything in one go) Of course I guess SE doesn't want to risk dupes or something by locking down their safety procedures.

why are you looking to see what other ppl are selling things for and not just selling what it worth to you?

Because having to guess a price is a good way either to never sell anything or to sell everything cheaper than people are willing to pay?

you didn't answer the question. but what you just here says that you think your time or money (in game) is worthless to you.

That's. . . not what I said at all. Okay, say I think Buccaneer's Shirt is worth 10 million gil, because, hey, it's an awesome shirt. Problem is, everyone else thinks it's only worth 5 million. Do you think anyone's ever going to pay my 10 million asking price when there are other ones available for half the price? Conversely, if I only think it's worth 500k gil, but the majority of buyers would be willing to pay 5 million gil, I've just shot myself in the foot.

It has nothing to do with what I think the item is worth, and everything to do with what the buyers will pay for it.

ok is it worth 10 million gil because of the time and erffort you put in to get it or because of the prices of the mats you need to make it or is it because you just pick a number at random? the price of an item has nothing to do with ppl a willing to pay because is someone needs it bad enough they would 40 million for the shirt if it's all they can find so yeah some could pay your 10 million asking price. and if i cost you less than 500k to get/make it you didnt lose anything so not really a shot in the foot.

For all the logic and reason you pour into your post, it doesn't actually make any sense.
