My character in Ul Dah Flames GC cannot get promoted

My main character is stuck at Sgt. 1st class and cannot get promoted. Flame seals have been going in the trash as I'm stuck at 25000. Game tells me to complete some task for Swift but Swift has no quests to give. Nothin on my quest log is blocking. Help.

It's probably your Hunt Log. Open up the log, click on the Grand Company icon, and kill the mobs listed there.

No, I should have mentioned that. The Hunt log is complete. I'm pretty experienced at this by now and nothing obvious is blocking me. I appreciate the feedback though. This has had me baffled for weeks. None of my other characters for me or my husband has this problem.

I hesitated a long time before submitting this because every other time I got stuck on something in this game, that I was sure was a bug, proved to be some dumb mistake of my own. Pretty sure this is a character specific bug.

Darkhold is a lv 44~ dungeon, maybe that's the reason? Even if it's weird that the quest is not appearing a/w.
Maybe gotta keep going with the main story?

Flame seals have been going in the trash as I'm stuck at 25000.

Use the seals to purchase dark matter and use it for repairs or find some items you can re-sell on market boards.
