I'm fairly certain I know how Summoner works.

(Also I've heard this argument before and it just makes you sound petty on top of not knowing how to use basic search functions.)

I really dislike what they did with summoner summons. I really liked how XI did their summons though, so that could be the reason. I keep hoping that they will at least get Fenrir and he won't look absolutely terrible. The OPs art looks amazing. Too bad they aren't like this in game.

Thanks to all for all your kinds words, give me a lot of motivation!Was quite busy theses last days at work and the night withe the little guy you will recognize bottom, dunno really what to do with him yet, maybe a little scene with him and a lot of others in a thanallan environment :/
For those who asked, the main part of the Cg sculpt was done in Zbrush, renderer in Maya with arnold renderer (♥) and with many compositing in Nuke to add some depth effect, color correction etc.
SOmeone asked for somes animations, it can be done but the actual model is too high poly to do it easily, it could be possible to clean it again and make a rig, but ... borred just to think about it ^^

Yep! Well, specifically, my course is 3D animation and special effects, but a huge chunk of it is 3D modelling

FFXI - 1999-2001 developed Playstation 2 MMORPG has full detailed (for that platform) Avatars (Summons), that's not an argument. They stated it wasn't PS3 limitation in any shape or form, Yoshi simply hated seeing people with multiple copies of a powerful beast as a pet as he felt it "cheapened" them.

So they were cheapened for us? Lol I won't touch smn until their pets are worth playing with. Carbuncle is the only one that looks half decent...

Update: Did a speed clay render test today, but i lose some of the details in the process, willtake a look at this this weekend i think ^^

@ninthfantasy: yeah yous must master Zbrush, a real pleasure to work with, and it's more and more used everyday in the industry.
And i agree with some of us, sumons from ffXI were far better in my opinion, estetically and playing style talking :/
